• Provides a focal point for infrastructure projects, to be a single point of contact for all aspects of infrastructure (datacenter, platform, storage, database and network) coordinating activities with the individual teams.
• Provides stewardship of the infrastructure portfolio and oversees the project management capability within Infrastructure.
• Drive the infrastructure aspects of customer projects, working closely with other parts of IT to ensure timely, smooth and seamless delivery of projects to the business.
• Play a leading role in developing the wider infrastructure team, specifically in cross-silo and collaborative working.
• Assist with the development of the overall infrastructure strategy and planning. • Assist with coordination of vendors, consultant and internal teams to design, provision and operation of infrastructure systems (active and passive). Work includes technology research, concept development, and solution approach.
• Has responsibility for driving operational improvements across infrastructure with regard to process & technology. This includes taking the lead with management of incidents and maintaining operational DR capability as well as actively managing the resolution of audit points.
• Develops & operates capacity, availability & demand management disciplines for both technology & human resources
• Acts as the central co-ordination point & support point for Infrastructure budget governance and monitoring
• Champions and develops a service management and commercial approach to delivery of infrastructure services to our customers.
