Ive been working as Quality Control Chemist for more than 20 years in a chemical company that produces unsaturated polyester resins and epoxy vinyl ester resins.
My job includes testing of physical and mechanical properties of resins, based on the standard specifications.
Testing of resins like viscosity, gel time, solid content, as well as tensile strength, flexural strength and heat deflection temperature are the normal routines in the laboratory.
Quality control testing of raw materials is also an integral part of my work.
ISO annual certification is also part of my job, making sure all the lab procedures are documented and followed.
Synthesis of organic surfactant as my undergraduate thesis.
