• Acknowledge Client's email and provide man-hour estimate of the work being sought and make production sheet for official quote of the project, create project and delivery programmed.

• Liaise with IT Department for the group email and project folder, organize files and project information, notify the Engineering Manager for time frame and project programmed.

• Execute Electrical Calculations such as Cable Calculations using Amtech and ElectricalOM Softwares, Lighting Lux Calculation using Dialux and Relux Software, Containment Calculation for both cable capacity and weight capacity.

• Do mark-ups Electrical Drawings such as Lighting Layout, Small Power Layout, Fire Alarm Layout, Access Control and Security Layout, LV and ELV Schematics and assign CAD Draftsman for modeling works.

• Conduct QAQC of completed electrical drawings, liaise with the modeler to amend the comments and review the final drawing for submission.

• Organize Technical Meeting with the Client to discuss Technical Queries, Design Inputs and Reference and address coordination issues with other trades.

• Manage the production and approval of Installation, Testing and Commissioning Method Statements and Material/Equipment Technical Submittals.

• Conduct factory testing of DB, SMDB, MDB, MCC & generator prior for delivery on site.

• Arrange delivery of all electrical materials and equipment for the full construction project.

• Coordinate with the Construction Manager and Project Director for Manpower Resources, Tools and Material requirements for all frontline works available.

• Organize meeting with subcontractors and supervisors to discuss and address site constraints line to frontline works, come up with suitable strategy to solve it and move forward.

• Manage the installation of cable trays, cable ladder, cable trunking, GI conduits, Main Distribution Boards, Sub Main Distribution Boards, Final Distribution Boards, Motor Control Centers, UPS Panels, Fire Alarm Panels and Devices, Central Battery System and Emergency/Exit Lighting, Access control and CCTV devices, Gate Barriers, DDC panels, pump control panels, bus bar installation, main and sub main cable pulling.

• Strong monitoring and control of all electrical activities to ensure all work are completed as per project program and inspected, approved by the Consultant.

• Manage System Specialist for the completion of its contract scope, delivery of materials, availability of manpower resources to complete the frontline works.

• Manage the testing and commissioning of all system such as LV main and sub-main cable insulation resistance testing, ELV cables continuity testing, fibre optic end to end testing, start up testing of LV panels (MDB, SMDB, FDB and MCC), fire alarm loop to loop and device to device testing including third party interfaces, start up testing of Central Battery and Emergency/Exit Light testing/addressing, access control device to device testing, camera view/angle testing, lighting control and small power functionality testing, BMS device to device testing plus graphics verification including sequence of operation and fire alarm interfacing.

• Liaise with Local Authority for Building Inspection to obtain No Objection Certificate.

• Manage system handover acceptance to the Client.

Project Brief: The South Al Barsha Residence Project, South Al Barsha is a residential building compose of 2 towers and 14 storey each building. The structure has a retails outlet and the ground floor, 3 floors parking, 12 floors apartment units &
mechanical plant room at the roof.

Job Responsibilities


• Manage the daily operation of all activities concerning the construction of the project.

• Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling and implementation

• Timeously review the contract documents for understanding of the deliverables and to ascertain the presence of changes and advise the Estimation and Commercial Departments.

• Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.

• Conduct factory testing of DB, SMDB, MDB, MCC & generator prior to site delivery.

• Manage the installation of cable trays, cable ladder, cable trunking, GI conduits, Main Distribution Boards, Sub Main Distribution Boards, Final Distribution Boards, Motor Control Centers, UPS Panels, Fire Alarm Panels and Devices, Central Battery System and Emergency/Exit Lighting, Access control and CCTV devices, Gate Barriers, DDC panels, pump control panels, main and sub main cable pulling.

• Ensure availability of materials and manpower resources in order to avoid disruption of construction works.

• Take actions to deal with the results of delays, and weather, or emergencies at construction site. Obtain all necessary permits and licenses of the work.

• Monitor site progress including installation of required equipment against accepted programs and look ahead. Make recommendation where extra resources or alternative work processes are required to maintain or increase performance.

• Monitor project cost and provide Project Manager with timely identification of deviations from project budget.

• Identify problematic design issues and make recommendations for alternative and cost effective re-design solution.

• Ensure the construction schedule is maintained. Reports on changes and additions to contractual agreements by main contractors, consultant, client, supplier & subcontractors.

• Manage the testing and commissioning of all system such as LV main and sub-main cable insulation resistance testing, ELV cables continuity testing, fibre optic end to end testing, start up testing of LV panels (MDB, SMDB, FDB and MCC), fire alarm loop to loop and device to device testing including third party interfaces, start up testing of Central Battery and Emergency/Exit Light testing/addressing, access control device to device testing, camera view/angle testing, lighting control and small power functionality testing, BMS device to device testing plus graphics verification including sequence of operation and fire alarm interfacing.

• Ensure proper coordination with Main Contractor and other Third Party Sub-Contractors.

• Review shop drawings such as lighting, small power, fire alarm, emergency lighting, CCTV, access control, structured cabling and BMS if it is compliance to tender drawings, project specification, local authority standards and BS-7671.

• Facilitate submission of technical submittals for all electrical system with respect to the project specification and liaise with Consultant and Client for approval

• Initiate material take off and estimate for procurement, prepare the bill of quantities for the labor supply quotation and pricing.

• Conduct factory testing of DB, SMDB, MDB, MCC & generator prior for delivery to the site for installation.

• Liaising with client and consultant engineers regarding design verifications, altering the design based on site conditions by coordinating with HVAC and plumbing service

• Organize training for the maintenance team of the building on electrical operation procedure such as fire alarm, BMS, CCTV, access control, intercom, lighting control.

• Liaise with Local Authority for Building Inspection to obtain No Objection Certificate.

• Manage system handover acceptance to the Client.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Handling the Electrical Engineering works of the Shiekh Hamdan Awards Building Project (3 buildings compose of 9 storey each + combined GF and 3 basements).

• Manage the installation of Lightning Protection and Earthing of the Al Muneera Beach Resort and Apartment Project (10 buildings compose of 12 storey each and combined ground floor and basement floor.

• Manage the installation of Grid Shell Lighting of the Yas Viceroy Hotel Project, sitting in the F1 race track Abu Dhabi. My responsibility includes testing and commissioning of all system such as LV main and sub-main cable insulation resistance testing, ELV cables continuity testing, fibre optic end to end testing, start up testing of LV panels (MDB, SMDB, FDB and MCC), fire alarm loop to loop and device to device testing including third party interfaces, start up testing of Central Battery and Emergency/Exit Light testing/addressing, access control device to device testing, camera view/angle testing, lighting control and small power functionality testing, BMS device to device testing plus graphics verification including sequence of operation and fire alarm interfacing, and Guest Room Management System. This project is composed of 2 buildings connected by a linked bridge. I am also responsible for the system hand over to the client plus closing all issues under Defect Liability Period (DLP).

• Assigned Testing and Commissioning Engineer of the St. Regis Beach Resort in Saadiyat island Abu Dhabi. I supervise the T&C works of all electrical systems as well as inspection and approval with the consultant plus assist the Authority Inspection (Civil Defence) for building NOC. This project is composed of a 5 start hotel of 3 building cores, 7 apartment buildings of 5 storey each with a combined basement, 32 luxury villas and a multiple commercial units. The project has 5 electrical sub-stations with a separate ETS room for the district cooling supply.

• As Electrical Engineer, part of my general responsibility is to provide technical direction to Electrical Supervisors, Foreman and Chargehand, coordinate with other trades to address clashing of services in plant room and corridors, liaise with systen specialist for the completion of their contract scope and report to Project Manager for the work progress at site.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure that Electrical Technicians are working in safe environment through, tidy the work place all the time and arrange workplace so as not to disturb other trade workers.

• Plan & develop work schedules, equipment usage schedules to aim maximum productivity.

• Develop best practices and techniques to expedite electrical installation and save materials.

• Supervise installation of conduit, cable tray, MCC, generator, wire cable pulling, installation of light fittings and wiring accessories.

• Monitor and control electrical activities and ensure its completion with utmost quality.

• Supervise testing and commissioning of electrical system such as lighting and small power, fire alarm, security system and main and sub-main LV cables.

• Taught students enrolled in Building Wiring and Industrial Motor Control Installation. Total number of trainees trained are more than 600 out of school youth.

• Coordinate to power plants and construction sites for educational tour of the students.

• Coordinate to industrial pants for on-the-job training of the students.

• Assist Trainees in Practical Lessons and ensure understanding towards it.

• Update the training module as per requirements of TESDA and industry standards.

• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical installation of the entire DMDP building.
