Working since 2017 to date as a Works Manager at Concrete Sleepers Factory Kohat at Pakistan Railways
Major Responsibilities:
• Manufacturing and production of twin block concrete sleepers (75 R and 100 R) for Pakistan Railways as per standard specifications and drawings.
• To maintain quality control of the products by conducting all laboratories test as per standard requirements.
• Maintenance, repair and purchasing of machineries, tools and plants as per PPRA rules and regulations.
• Maintenance and repair of civil works of factory buildings as well as residential colony of the employees.
• As a team leader (Incharge of the factory) to solve all the administration and technical issues of the factory.
• To conduct meetings with all sub ordinates as well as to attend meetings in MD/ HQ office.
• To manage and utilize the funds to improve the production and quality of products.
• To follow and ensure the standard measures of safety.
• Office documentation and correspondence with MD and HQ office.
Worked as an Assistant Executive / Planning Engineer from 2010 t0 2017 at various divisions/HQ and MOR at Pakistan Railways
Major Responsibilities:.
• Supervision, inspection and checking (alignments, gauges, fittings and fastenings, track components i.e. inspection of rails, sleepers and ballast etc.) of all main and branch lines.
• Inspection, checking, maintenance and repair of all service buildings (Railway Stations), employees’ residential houses, Railways offices and Railways rest houses existing in Pakistan Railways.
• Providing water supply and sanitation system to all Railways Stations (services buildings), offices and residential houses existing in Pakistan Railways.
• Checking of horizontal and vertical curves by inspecting super elevations, versine, cross level, curve degrees, gauges etc and its adjustment.
• Inspection of level crossings by checking its gauge, cross level, clearances, check rails, distance blocks, gate leaves, gate signals, road surfaces and equipment of the gate keepers.
• Inspection of points and crossings by checking wears, gauges, cross levels and clearances etc at toes, heels and noses etc.
• Inspection, checking and repair of Railways bridges (major and minor bridges) i.e. inspection of sub structure (abutments, piers) and super structure (rail, sleepers, bridge timbers, fittings and fastenings etc).
• Checking and maintaining of p-way quarterly registers, bridge registers, curves registers and points and crossing registers.
• Checking and inspection of P-way and Works stores and its accounts registers
• Office documentations and drafting etc.
• Scrutinizing and vetting of all types of Clearance Concept Proposals, Feasibilities Studies and PC-1’s.
• Preparation of various plans to improve and enhance the existing facilities of Pakistan Railways.
• Taking and planning various steps to equipped Pakistan Railway with latest technology
• Planning to link Pakistan with neighboring countries, central Asia and Turkey.
• Preparation of working papers for all types of projects related to Pakistan Railways
• Office documentation, noting, corresponding and drafting.
• Coordination with other departments (finance division, economic affair division, planning and development division etc)
• To arrange and attend deferent types of meetings related to planning.
• Preparation of all relevant papers of projects for getting approval from competent authority.
• All other tasks assigned by Officers
• Inspection, checking, maintenance and repair of all tunnels existing in Pakistan Railways.
Preparation of PC-I and Detailed cost estimates of various buildings damaged during earthquake.
Preparation of Technical Sanctions of buildings damaged during earthquake.
To prepare and maintain of Measurement Books.
Preparation and evaluation of the bidding documents.
Checking of Engineer estimates prepared by the Consultants.
To submit weekly, monthly and yearly progress reports to higher authorities.
Supervision, monitoring and construction of 676 Govt. School buildings and 79 Governance building damaged during earthquake 2005.
Preparation of Bid Evaluation report, comparative statement and issuing work order.
Verifications and checking of IPC’s, final bills, completion costs and escalation etc.
Technical Evaluation of the Detailed Cost Estimates prepared by the Works & Services Department / NESPAK submitted with the PC-Is.
Evaluation of bids submitted by the Contractors for undertaking different reconstruction activities.
On-site technical evaluation / inspection of the work done by the contractor (s) to check whether the work done is in accordance with the Technical Sanction / bill of quantities or other wise and submission of report to the Program Manager.
Technical Evaluation of work done / BOQs submitted by the Contractors with their bills to check, whether the work done reported by the Contractors is according to the Technical Sanction or otherwise. If need be, physical clearance of bills the Accounts Section.
Inspection of the developmental projects and submission of inspection report on the technical aspects of the different reconstruction activities to the Program Manager.
Attending all the General Coordination and Core Groups meetings to be convened in the DRU.
To attend meetings at ERRA / PERRA / Chief Engineer Office or any other meeting pertaining to their area of jurisdiction as mentioned above after obtaining permission from the Program Manager or any other meeting as per directions of the Program Manager.
Construction, supervision and monitoring of all the structural components of Khan Khawar and Dubair Khawar Projects i.e. Headrace Tunnels, Diversion Tunnels, Pressure Tunnels, Surge Tank, Power House buildings, Shaft, All access Tunnels, Retaining Walls and Coffer Dams etc.
Construction supervision of Engineers / Client offices
Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly progress reports
Checking and verification of IPC of contractors
Rate analysis of Non- BOQ items
Preparation of construction Schedule Charts
Correspondence and meetings with client and Contractors regarding the project matters
Execution and supervision of all concerned quality control (Laboratory Works) of the project.
Supervision and construction of the works of contractors camp, Offices, officers rest houses buildings etc.
To maintain and ensure quality control of the materials used in the project as per standard specification.
Submission of drawings, bar bending schedules, Quality control plan, working methodology and construction schedules to client/consultants as per contract requirements..
Coordination with client, consultant and all other project stakeholders.
Preparation of weekly & monthly progress reports.
