The primary role of the Lifting Operations Technical coordinator is to provide technical support to the onshore engineering team in all matters relating to lifting and rigging and the movement of loads.
Responsible for the compilation and development of all lift plans that require engineering input, typically, complicated and complex lifting operations and take part in Planning Stage Risk Assessments (PSRA).
Advise/assist onshore project discipline and work pack engineers on the technical aspects, suitability and adequacy of lifting equipment for lifting operations.
First point of contact onshore for lifting operations and provides the interface with BP LOLER Representative to ensure project compliance with LOLER and the BP UKCS Management of Lifting and Rigging Operations procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES: - Rigger/lifting focal point and performing authority responsible for the planning and creation of complex lift plans in accordance with LOLER, platform and regional lifting policies. Complicated calculations to determine load weights, centre of gravity, sling tensions, angle factors etc. Supervision and execution of lifting operations. Adherence to work procedure and ISSOW.
