Perform full time and continuing safety coverage / monitoring at work sites to ensure compliance of work force.
Report to and assist his Site Safety Supervisor in the overall implementation of the Company and Client approved specific Safety and Loss Prevention (HSE) program and related activities.
Prepare and report findings with recommendation for corrective action.
Investigate accident to ascertain causes for use in recommending preventive safety measures and developing safety programs.
Coordinate for Safety, Health, and Security as well as Environment issues with client counterpart in the field that concern or affect day-to-day operation.
Be fully familiar with the project -specific established emergency procedures and ensure that the same is fully conveyed to site employees in his respective area of coverage.
Advise site management on the following:
Predictable job hazards on site in which affected work force must be cautioned before their work starts.
Carry out site surveys / patrols to see that only safe work methods are in operation, that health and safety requirements are being observed, and welfare facilities are adequate and properly maintained.
Keep up-to-date with recommended codes of practice and safety literature. Circulate information applicable to each level of employees.
Monitor daily tool box meetings or pre-job instruction meeting of foreman / supervisors.
Foster within the Company an understanding that the injury prevention and damage controls are an integral part of the business and operational efficiency.
Stop the job whenever unsafe acts or conditions are noted. Monitor and ensure compliance of field work force with the work permit system.
