1. Develops Lifting plans based on production forecast, berth availability and customer requirements
2. Monitors performance and adjusts lifting plans according to changes in variables and within contractual allowances
3. Communicates and updates lifting plans to stakeholders and customers.
4. Attends Industry Planning and Scheduling meetings with the Port and Terminal Operator as Oryx GTL representative.
5. Monitors Service level of Service providers against targets set and reports and addresses deviations.
6. Communicates with customers vis-à-vis shipping requirements
7. Receives and processes all vessel nominations:
- Receives vessel nomination from customers
- Communicates vessel nomination to Screening agents
- Obtains approval / rejection feedback
- Communicates vessel acceptance / rejection to customer
- Addresses any queries relating to vessel nomination
- obtains confirmation from customer of performing vessel
- updates vessel nomination data base
8. Reviews operation performance reports generated by the Business Analyst and highlights improvements.
9. Ensures compliance with all shipping requirements
10. Liaises with customers as well as internal Production and Laboratory vis-à-vis specific loading and /or quality requirements
11. Attends Laboratory / Production meeting
12. Assists Head of Logistics to prepare annual logistics budget when times come,
13. Review/check demurrage and dead freight claims received from customers; collect and compile necessary information from Terminal operations and vessels documents for further negotiation or settlement
14. Gathers required operational shipment data from post loading reports and updates data base, Analyses performance of loading operations and highlights deviations
15. SAP:
- Processes Service Entries
- Follow up / resolve queries on payments to Service Providers

1. Coordinates daily logistics activities, following up with shipping agents, surveyor, production planning, SABIC Terminal operations, and SABIC Marketers to ensure that specified liquid product is dispatched as well as inbound shipments are as per the order at all times.
2. Process deliveries in SAP system according to sales order received from SABIC.
3. Working parallel with the relevant parties in transferring of product to the export shore tanks for subsequent loading into vessels as per the assigned procedures.
4. Ensures the intermediate fiber products i.e. Ethylene Glycol (MEG, DEG, TEG), Benzene, Pygas etc. are transferred and dispatched safely from the export shore tanks to the vessel’s per the established safety procedures.
5. Coordinating with the SABIC Terminal operations on vessel berthing plan and inform the parties concerned to perform loading/unloading operations within the agreed lay-can and lay-time to avoid potential demurrage on the shipment.
6. Coordinating with the cargo surveyor to perform quality and quantity inspection and provide necessary documents for each work order
7. Maintain communication with the SABIC Marketers, SABIC Terminal, Inspection companies and internal production function to facilitate arrival discharge of the inbound shipment i.e. Butene-1, N-Hexane, Methanol, Caustics etc
8. Ensure that all documents are prepared and verified and handed over to the concerned party in time for the onward submission to customs within the dateline
9. Check and verify demurrage claims and recommend to management for settlement.
10. Check and verify related invoices i.e. Survey fees etc. and create the Service Entry Sheet in SAP system for Finance department to process the payment.

1. Planning, directing and implementing feedstock shipping activities, monitor ships and berth situation, establish accurate ship scheduling and operations to improve performance, prevent materials shortages, minimize delays and demurrage cost.
2. Managing customer relations and the flow of products, services and information to internal parties such as sales and trading, planning & business analysis, production, accounts & treasury as well as terminal operations.

6. Coordination with customers regarding vessel’s nomination, to vet and confirm vessels nominated for each shipment, to secure berth allocation, to coordinate with terminal, surveyors and agents for smooth of cargo operations and quick dispatch of vessels.
7. Ensuring efficient preparation and timely distribution of product i.e. Ethylene, Butadiene, Mixed C4, Benzene and Toluene as well as shipping document to customers, customs etc.
8. Coordinating with Feedstock team and suppliers regarding Naphtha, LPG, Butene-1 and Hexene-1 import schedule, fixing the loading and delivery dates for each terms suppliers, and to report on any changes in shipping schedule and requirements.
9. Check and verify all invoices related to products purchased, freight and demurrage charges, forwarding charges, survey fees and port charges. Coordinate with Accounts and Treasury department on payments due (account payable).
10. Collect and compile necessary information for negotiation and recommendation for payment of demurrage claims.
11. Preparing the monthly reports on feedstock shipping activities, assist in the preparation of yearly budget and monitor the department monthly expenses.
12. Acting as Shipping Manager on his absence
