I rejoined Zuhair Fayez Partnership in October 1991 as Quantity Surveyor and involved in the preparation and evaluation of tender document, preparation of material take-off and Bills of materials of various projects.
Since July 2007, I resumed the duties in main office Jeddah.Working on various project for the preparation and evaluation of tender documents
From April 2000 to September 2003, I was engaged for the project site of Madinah al Munawwarah Governor office “Imara madinah” as Project Quantity Surveyor to check and scrutinize the contractor’s interim measurement and interim and final payment certificates, also involved in preparation of monthly progress reports of the project.The project initial value is about SR 200 Million.
From October 2003 till July2007 I was transferred to King AbdulAziz University Madinah Branch TAIBAH UNIVERSITY Project site office as Project Quantity Surveyor to check and scrutinize the contractor’s interim measurement and interim and final payment certificates, also involved in preparation of monthly progress reports of the project.
The project initial value is about SR 100 Million.
From March 1997 to July 1997 as Project quantity surveyor site office development of central area around Haram Madina Almunawarah a utility service project. since July 97 to March 2000.resumed the duties in main office Jeddah.
From April 1996 to 31st Jan.1997, I was engaged on Sara Vision Headquarters Building, Jeddah at site office as Project Quantity Surveyor to check and scrutinize the contractor’s interim measurement and payment certificates, also involved in preparation of monthly progress reports of the project.Partially worked for Disabled children hospital project Jeddah.
I was employed by the Scet International of France, Saudi Engineering Consultant Bureau and Kattan Consult both of Saudi Arabia which had formed a joint venture for the supervision of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Public Housing Project, belonging to the Ministry of Public Works and Housing. The estimated cost of the project is SR 1.67 billion andconsisted of 2592 villas each on 400sq.m.plot size and including all infrastructure services such as roads, potable and non-potable water networks, sanitary and storm water drainage systems, telephone network, street lighting and power distribution networks, public gardens and landscaping.I was engaged in the Quantity Survey Section and was responsible for checking the Contractor Payment Certificates, preparation of the Variation Orders, Progress Reports and checking the final Accounts and the Final Payment Certificate.
Involved in taking off quantities for various building projects such as DallahTower Annex and Sheikh Saleh Kamel Palace. I also visited project sites in Makkah and Madina to verify the executed works and checked Payment Certificates for the three hospital projects, and SaudiArabian Monetary Agency Office Building in Makkah and Madinah.
I joined M/s Watson Saudi Arabia (UK) in their Makkah Office on Makkah Minor Sewer and House Connections Project. The estimated cost of the project was around SR400-million. He was responsible for checking of the Contractor measurements of the executed works and in finalizing the checking of Interim and Final Payment Certificates.
I worked with Parsons Brown International (UK) Consultant to the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs on their project of Beautification of Roads of two Holy Cities Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Madina Al-Munawwarah. The project consisted of the construction of 4 bridges and 3 multistory car parking buildings near Haram and the beautification of the city Roads. As Assistant Quantity Surveyor in their Head Office in Jeddah, I was involved in the standardization of the valuation forms, abbreviation of the descriptions of Bills of Quantities items and also examined the Contractor Quantities and interim payments and prepared Monthly Progress Reports of work done.
I worked for State Constructional Contracting Company of Iraq in the capacity of Quantity Surveyor for Panorama project in Madain, 35 kilometer from Baghdad, for which Taylor Woodrow International (UK) were engaged in the construction management. I was responsible in scrutinizing the Contractor Payment Certificates, Estimation and Rate Analysis for the above mentionedproject as well as other projects.
In Pakistan I worked for West Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation in their Head office in Karachi for different industrial projects and their housing estates.the projects were such as Larkana Sugar Mills Project, Liquid Petroleum Gas Plants in Hyderabad, Karachi, Larkana and Quetta. He was an Estimator and was involved in the preparation of detailed estimates, Bill of Quantities along with the other Tender Documents.
I was responsible for construction work of multistory residential buildings, bunglows, and Tile factory in Karachi. worked on construction of Faculty of Arts and Library Building and Administration Block of Sind University Jamshoro.
