Key Responsibilities:
• Installing, configuring and troubleshooting operating systems including Mac OS X 10.5 Server, Window 2003 Server, Ethernet LANs, as well as PC hardware and software to provide maximum performance and availability for users.
• Handling Network Cabling, installing/configuring network equipments including LAN switches, modems, printers, etc.
• Providing implementation and operational support encompassing design, set-up and maintenance of IT infrastructure, Windows 2003 server & XP, server state and data backup.
• Repairing/upgrading “Genx” Brand products including USB scanners, LCD monitor, LED TVs, LCD TVs, Mp3, MP4, MP5, Digital Photo frames, Notebooks, VGA cards and providing technical support to end user.
• Managing application server for local applications, prints and file server, Intel servers and Internet connection, as well as monitoring their installation, administration, diagnosing and troubleshooting problems.
• Developing and maintaining the entire testing process/methods for testing computer devices like motherboard, Mp3, Mp4, Mp5 scanner, VGA cards and LCDs.
• Installing and updating anti virus systems (Norton and MacAfee) into the servers and supporting user applications.
• Monitoring network capacity, performance, usage and security for data, providing support for remote access services to tender the most cost-effective and efficient use of servers to users.
• Undertaking ongoing tuning of database instances to enhance efficiency of applications while implementing/enforcing security of all databases.
• Deploying, configuring and troubleshooting database server and client in addition to Windows 2000 Active Directory.
Key Responsibilities:
• Tendered system administration support for the entire technical infrastructure, installation and commissioning of servers, remote access points, hardware/software, and assisted in the development and maintenance of system security plan.
• Monitored operational status of all networks, identified technical anomalies and instituted immediate measures for rectifying technical breakdowns to ensure optimal levels of security.
• Evaluated and identified organizational requirements to establish operating procedural standards, and managed IT infrastructure requirements to ensure acceptable levels of security and data recovery plans.
• Managed operating systems including video conferencing device, LAN of 70 clients and WAN with VPN (Virtual Private Network). Handled Windows 2000 advanced server, prints and file server and application server installations.
• Extended technical support/guidance to users to ensure smooth operation of networks to provide maximum performance and availability for users.
• Conducted regular system checks of router/switches and structured LAN to ensure optimum system performance. Investigated/researched system issues and errors to determine causes, recommended/implemented corrections to data, system and processes for efficient troubleshooting.
