 Recommending categories/brand managers of the optimal transport mode, routing and equipment for import/ export shipments of the group.
 Carrier management - evaluation of rates and services offered by forwarders and their nomination and performance appraisal for retaining or switching service providers.
 Training the Import/Export team in their roles and responsibilities and on logistics strategies.
 Resolving problems concerning transportation, imports & exports or customs issues.

Manage the commercial aspect of logistics by issuing annual RFQ (Request For Quotations) to leading freight forwarders for major trade lanes of the group.
•Review forwarders’ invoice charges are in line with contracts and approve for payment.
•Management reporting to Head of Group Logistics on Import figures, volumes, values and percentages.
•Monitor the costing procedure with regular checks to make sure that the costings for shipments from all international suppliers are completed timely by imports on completion of receipt of cargo into warehouse.
•Maximize the satisfaction level of the customers (in house brand control offices) through prompt and efficient service on all import /export operations.
•Apply innovative solutions to drive efficiency in the supply chain by reducing costs and wastages.
•Monitor the Insurance Claims procedure for discrepant import/export are handled timely and effectively.
•Prioritize, schedule and delegate the work assignments to import/export assistants.
