PRESENTLY WORKING IN SAUDI KAYAN PETROCHEMICAL COMPLEX IN THE AMINES AND ETHOXYLATES PRODUCT HANDLING UNIT HANDLING ALL THE SITE ACTIVITIES RELATED TO FILLING IN DRUMS, IBC'S AND ISO CONTAINERS. TAKING CHARGE OF ALL SITE ACTIVITIES IN THE ABSENCE OF SITE MANAGER.
Worked as Supervisor Process & Operations with Total Oil India Ltd. since October 2010 to May 2012 in the Lubricating Oil manufacturing division. Total Oil India Ltd. is involved in the manufacturing of Engine oils, Transmission oils, Gear Oils, Industrial oils, Greases, Bitumen etc with a production capacity of 60, 000 MT per annum.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:
* Looking after shift production activities which includes process monitoring through SCADA and hence
maintaining product quality.
* Monitoring shift filling activities which includes filling into packs of various capacities and also bulk
filling for OEM customers.
* Ensuring that the daily production targets are met as per the plan and also ensure that all the process
activities are carried out in a safe and effective manner.
* Looking after production planning, updating daily MIS reports, putting up all the shift data entries in SAP.
* Periodic checking of stocks of PM & RM and coordinating with other departments for ensuring the availability of the same, also assisting in periodic audits for stocks.
* Ensuring proper housekeeping of the plant area and also assisting in various audits like ISO TS, OSHAS
etc.
* Actively participating in expansion project related activities which will increase the production capacity of the plant from 60, 000 MT to 80, 000 MT PA.
* Suggesting process modifications in the project activities which will help to reduce batch cycle time of the process.
Worked as Process Control Engineer with M/S Merchem Ltd since November 2009 to September 2010
This organisation is involved in the manufacturing of Rubber chemicals, Pesticides and Fertilizers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE: * Taking charge of all process activities ( batch as well as continuous process) and maintaining process
parameters.
* As part of the process team did certain successful modifications in the process by adjusting the flow rates of various solvents during dosing in the reactor, modifications in catalyst recovery section, and also in the solvent distillation division to achieve maximum solvent and catalyst recovery.
* Was successful in reducing the cycle time of one of the product and also increasing the yield from 170 MT to 220 MT by process studies and modifications.
* Worked in close coordination with the R&D department for successful launching of new products on plant scale basis from lab scale basis.
* Handled various unit operations like simple, steam and vacuum distillation, crystallization, drying, milling,
sieving etc.
* Various equipments handled include fractionating columns, tray dryer, rotary vacuum dryer, air classifier
mills, triple effect evaporator, scrubbers etc.
* Handled various reactions like polycondesation, chlorination, neutralization, polymerization, acidification,
oxidation etc.
* Handled the Effluent Treatment Plant which include monitoring the reverse osmosis and the triple
effect evaporator plant for safe waste water disposal.
Worked as Shift Production Engineer with M/S Expanded Polymer Systems Pvt. Ltd since July 2007 to October 2009. This organisation is involved in the Manufacturing of Polyurethane Chemicals including Polyether, Polyester, Blended polyols and foam systems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE: * Worked in the Polyester, Polyether and blended polyol manufacturing divisions handling process control
activities through SCADA and maintaining product quality.
* Did successful modifications in the process by varying the dosing time of the catalyst thereby reducing the cycle time of the batch from 25 hours to less than 15 hours.
* Handled various equipments like the ASU's, autoclaves, blenders, reactors, distillation columns etc.
* Successfully handled trial batches in the pilot plant area as per the formulations suggested by the R&D.
* Coordination with the maintenance department to reduce process downtime.
