Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Directly reports to the Design Coordinator, MEP Coordinator, Resident Engineer or Project Manager. Ensure that works shall be carried out as per contract and relevant engineering standards.
2. Directly supervise the job performances of QA/QC electrical engineer and electrical inspectors. Issue job assignments.
3. Responsible for technical review of detailed design drawings.
4. Responsible for technical review of shop drawings, material submittals & samples, method statements, T&C procedures, and other documents submitted by the Contractor, for compliance with the contract documents and the design intent.
5. Review the contractor’s execution of works, and assign electrical inspectors / electrical quality control engineer to carry out regular inspections of installation and materials to ensure compliance with the construction standards, contract documents, & statutory requirements.
6. Ensure the works are executed in accordance with the approved design drawings and project technical specifications.
7. Maintain the records of all proceedings, correspondence, approvals and milestones for the Projects assigned.
8. Facilitate design clarifications, corrections or amendments if required as per the site conditions to allow adjustment of works or suitable method of execution of works at site.
9. Review the project programme submitted by the Contractor, monitor progress in relation to this programme. Review and comment on monthly reports prepared by the contractor on the progress of the project.
10. Ensure that the implementation of procedures at site for Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Safety are properly complied.
11. Coordinate with government and non-government authorities for building permit approval, power connection requirements, civil defense requirements, telecom works, etc.
12. Prepare progressive snagging lists throughout the construction period culminating in a final list attached to the Taking-Over Certificate.
13. On valuation of works executed, certification of Contractor’s payments.
14. Perform any other jobs the Project Manager may assigned.

d.) Coordinate with other department senior engineers such as mechanical, civil, and architectural in order to have a smooth activities with least possible conflict.

b.) Represents Hyundai in coordinating with the electrical engineers of the project management group of Tihama Power during mechanical completion inspection, punch listing, and punch clearing.

III - SAMREF New Sulfur Silo (Yanbu, Saudi Arabia)
a.) Responsible for checking and ensuring that the electrical and instrument materials were installed and activated according to SAMREF Project Specifications.
b.) Responsible for updating by marking up the drawings
c.) Responsible for documentations, and turnover of the project

IV - Tihama Co-gen Project (Shedgum Gas Plant, Abqaiq, Saudi Arabia)
a.) In-charge of coordination to Hyundai regarding technical aspect such as drawings, specifications, methods, schedule, and other technical concerns.
b.) In-charge of overseeing that the standards, schedule of work, and other field concerns are consistently done by the field supervisor, and foreman.
c.) In-charge of overseeing the materials requirements of the project, including storage, handling, and other material related matters.
d.) Oversee the safety matters of the project while safety engineer is not available.
e.) In-charge of overseeing the materials requirements, including storage, handling, and other material related matters.

Shift Engineer at Robinsons Land Corporation

Responsibilities:

a.) PLANS APPROVING ENGINEER (Electrical Plans): Review & check design & construction drawings (electrical plans) submitted by contractors according to the Robinsons Construction Standards ( standard set by the company ) and then to the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC). Rejects or approved plans.

b.) WORK PERMIT ISSUER: Issue work permit to contractors (in lieu of the chief engineer) in coordination with Security Department and Administration Department.

c.) SAFETY: Inspect work site sometimes together with Security Officer to instruct contractors to stop work due to safety requirements and the conditions on the work area particularly working at height, electrical works, and fire hazards works. Also, inspect LPG pipelines, water quality, fire protection equipment, etc on areas, which are already on operation.

d.) QUALITY: Check work quality of contractors, tools, and materials. Order and instruct contractors to stop work if the requirements are not meet. Play part in approving or disapproving Permit to operate, and Certificate of Work Completion & Acceptance of the projects, which can hold the payment to contractors including the construction bond.

e.) PROJECT ESTIMATOR AND COORDINATOR: Recommend, conduct estimates, and planning on improvement projects including upgrading of equipment, motor control system, and automation.

f.) OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE IN-CHARGE : In-charge of safety, operation, and maintenance of all engineering equipments such as 7.5MVA substation with 13.2KV switchgear, with standby automatic generator sets; pump house station which consist of potable, non-potable, & fire protection system; HVAC equipments with a total capacity of more than 2, 300-tonnes; sewage treatment plant; building auxiliary equipment such as telephone system, fire alarm system, escalators, elevators; power distribution system; lighting system; etc.

g.) POWER AND WATER BILLS IN-CHARGE (Other Works)

Shift Electrical Engineer at Sagay Cetral Incorporated

• Review the log book of outgoing Shift Electrical Supervisor and the present status of power plant.

• Review the reports and log sheets of the power plant operators (i.e. the Switchboard Operator and the Turbine-Diesel Tender).

• Prepare schedule for annual 3-month total shutdown maintenance for one section out of four sections of Electrical Department (i.e. either the power plant section or the electric motor section).

• Prepare list of materials, tools, and personnel requirements for the annual periodic maintenance including the equivalent cost. Prepare the equivalent budget.

• Electrical Maintenance of Pump Houses, Community Infrastructures, Community Buildings, Recreational Center, Club House and Community Hospital (currently under government control)

• Study, plans, makes drawings, material request, executes improvement projects the manager may assign. (1.) Installation of motor and its control panel as substitute for the steam turbine drive of induced draft fan (IDF) of boiler (2.) Baking room for motors equipped with thermostat (3.) Upgrading of controls (4.) Design, erection & installation of switchgear for 1.5MW Cummins Diesel Generator, and Steam Turbine Generator (5) Design, erection, & installation of motor control center for expansion project of additional five units of evaporator.
