Developed, managed and opened the first floating hotel in the middle east. The legend of the sea, Queen Elizabeth
2, is a floating entertainment, heritage and hotel destination famed for its storied past from the 1960s. Now
docked permanently at Dubai’s Mina Rashid, it’s a multimillion infrastructure portfolio under the management of
PCFC Investments - Government of Dubai. Acted as a sales and project manager for the iconic destination
responsibilities include,
• Managed and assisted the DOSM in developing a sales team, handling contracts, SOPs, and agreements.
• Reached out and represented PCFC projects and Queen Elizabeth 2 both locally and in the Middle East, UK,
Germany, and the CIS countries.
• Built and managed a team of sales and account managers. Created highly interactive training at the application
level, resulting in a significant increase in new sales.
• Reviewed projected P/L statement and develops strategies to attain or exceed revenue targets.
• Lead a snagging team that does strict follow-ups on snagging and handing over the project and ensuring the work
is carried out according to the project specifications and contracts.
• Built specifying packages of finishes and materials for interior architecture/FF&E that translates the design into
reality.
• Oversaw the overall project audit, including the green initiative, implementing the initiatives for the successful
sustainable program.
• Ensured operational readiness with OS&E (Operational Supplies & Equipment) placement across the project site.
• Lead and developed a talent resource team that identifies talents and educates and trains the core DNA
(Compass) of the project brand ethics and guidelines to the employees.
Key achievements
• Implemented marketing/sales plan to increase inbound leads to support the initiative of increasing new business
by over 20%.
• Reduced 35 business overhead costs in a year of opening and build a thriving sustainable program.
• Internally audited and achieved the HACCP certification for the project in less than eight months.
Director of Sales (Corporate and Leisure)
Increased corporate segment production up to 5 - 7% from the previous year by producing new opportunities and
developing existing client relationships.
• Developed the sales and marketing strategy for the property, planned and managed its implementation, liaising
closely with key stakeholders (General Managers, Hotel Managers, Revenue Managers).
• Maintained close liaison with Revenue Manager to monitor market trends, competitive data and
business forecasts
• Measure the effectiveness of broad-based marketing plans and yield management efforts to maximize the number
of market segments needed and diversify the revenue sources.
• Conducted half-yearly performance appraisals for all direct reports, ensuring that pre-agreed objectives are
achieved. Identify appropriate development and career opportunities for each team member to ensure high levels
of motivation. Assisted in maximizing revenue opportunities in CRS and GDS with data from subscribed reports
and market intelligence. Continuously analyzed availability and rates to allow maximum flexibility to capture all
market buying patterns while optimizing REVPAR.
