• Carrying out stage wise inspection of pipe spool fabrication & erection as per ITP/QCP.
• Inspection of incoming materials and its color code, Test certificates, specifications and
standards.
• Inspection of Joint preparation as per the latest revision of engineering drawings and
WPS.
• Daily Surveillance Inspection of storage and handling of consumables which includes
baking activities of Low Hydrogen electrodes and verifying calibration certificates of
welding equipments.
• Witnessing and inspection of welding machine calibration, received filler wires and
electrodes, received purging and shielding gas cylinders.
• Witnessing and Review of various documents such as WPS, PQR and welder certificates
before welding.
• Monitoring preheating, inter pass temp., in process distortion control, climatic conditions,
welding/purging gas, Inter run cleaning, root run, hot pass and subsequent runs etc.,
during welding.
• Visual Inspection and reporting of piping joints for materials like CS, SS, DSS, SDSS,
Alloy Steel, GRE and GRP of different sizes as per standards.
• Preparation of NCRs subject to quality requirements, standards and advising for
corrective actions, reviewing and following of Technical Queries.
• Preparation of daily welding reports.
• Witnessing NDT activities including interpretation of RT films and verifying compliance
with approved codes and standards and assessment of repairs if any and follow up on
defect removal.
• Responsible for monitoring RT coverage of piping during erection in site as per line class(5%, 10% and 100% lines).
• Loop/Mechanical Clearance of erected pipe spools in line with the GA drawings, P&ID,
Isometrics & Support details and preparing Punch list, Isometric Control Sheet.
• Witnessing PWHT, PMI, FN and Pneumatic, Hydrostatic testing.
• Conducting and Witnessing welder qualification tests, PQR and Golden joints welding.
• Continuous track recording of welding activities of welders.
• Familiar with Various ASME, ANSI, ASTM & API Codes and welding processes like
SMAW, GTAW, SAW, GMAW etc.
• Co ordinate with clients, production team, HSE department to complete the project at a time and follow all safety requirements
