• Implement Mechanical strategies and procedures, whilst ensuring that work is carried out in full compliance with approved Design criteria, local Authority requirements and Contract.
• Interfacing and coordinating between Architects, Structural, Civil and Electrical Engineers of Construction, Contractors as also with the Clients, Project Managers and all other concerned parties on a regular basis.
• Liaise with design team to implement the design intent in the execution of works.
• Liaise professionally with client / contractor / local authorities when required.
• Inspecting site conditions prior to start of construction activities.
• Solving technical mechanical problems that may arise during construction project.
• Review material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, samples and other documents submitted by the Contractors Review and approve Inspections Test plans, Testing & commissioning procedures etc as per contract.
• Conduct on-site inspection and check the quality of work, materials and equipment of the contractors. Check if the materials and any portion of work conform to the drawings and specifications.
• Check if materials are properly handled, stored and used in the Projects.
• Supervise the execution of works, carryout regular inspections of works and confirm the materials to comply with the Construction Contract Documents and requirements.
• Ensure that Works being carried out are as per the approved method statements and shop Drawings using approved materials to avoid any abortive works.
• Ensure that removal or repair of faulty construction, which was performed without inspection and corrective works are undertaken accordingly by the Contractors.
• Review, update and comment on Monthly Reports on the progress of the Project prepared by the Contractor and assist in the preparation of reports to the Client.
• Reviewing contractors’ claims related to mechanical works and preparing appropriate recommendations accordingly.
