Preparation of various stages of design from concept to detailed submission for Electrical Systems such as HV, MV, & LV networks, Power & Lighting Systems, ELV Systems, Fire Alarm & Detection System, and Earthing & Lightning Protection System.
Provides in-depth study of various aspects of electrical engineering (i.e. Load Study, Voltage Drop and Cable Sizing Calculations, Short Circuit Analysis, Load Flow Analysis, Protective Device Coordination Study, Electrical Equipment Sizing, Lighting Calculation, etc.).
Development of electrical power distribution concepts, Single Line Diagram, and electrical layouts.
Work with AutoCAD software in designing and revising electrical drawings.
Perform other department duties related to electrical as directed by the Head of Department.
Design full electrical systems, including power, lighting, lightning protection, earthing, fire alarm, telephone & data, access control, BMS, CCTV, CBS, public address & background music, and other elv systems.
Coordination of communications between the project team, the engineering and design team members to assure quality of work, and that consistent technical content drawing/design packages are maintained throughout a project.
Creation and management of the electrical scope of work for the project.
Prepare single line diagrams for all electrical related systems.
Integrate package equipment into overall system design.
Oversee development of detailed design drawings including one-line diagrams, plans, details, wiring diagrams and fabrication drawings.

Provides in-depth study of various aspects of electrical engineering (i.e. Load Study, Voltage Drop and Cable Sizing Calculations, Short Circuit Analysis, Load Flow Analysis, Protective Device Coordination Study, Electrical Equipment Sizing, Lighting Calculation, etc.).

Preparation of electrical drawings and requirements for BP Application from DC-1 to Final Kahramaa approval stage.
Coordinate and discuss with Kahramaa Engineers for any comments in the BP Applicatio’s electrical drawings and documents.
Site visit of the proposed location of project for gathering of data and information as a pre-requisite in the preparation of design.
Coordinate the electrical concept with other disciplines to create a project accord without any conflict.
Performs power system analysis such as load flow, short circuit, and motor starting using software such as ETAP and ECODIAL.
Performs lighting design calculations using DIALUX.
Coordinate with design team to ensure timely delivery of task.
Work with AutoCAD software in designing and revising electrical drawings.
Perform other department duties related to electrical as directed by the Head of Department.
Perform QA/QC Electrical works for Infrastructure projects such as Roads and Bridges. The electrical works mostly include installation, testing and commissioning of 34.5 kV and 13.8 kV Unit Substations, 34.5 kV switchgear, 13.8 kV Ring Main Units (RMUs), 13.8 kV Extensible Oil Switches, Motor Control Center (MCC), Street Lighting Distribution Panels, Underground MV & LV cables, and Street Lighting & Traffic Signal Systems.
Ensure that all electrical works are done in accordance with approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international.
Review all electrical drawings (IFC and shop drawings) to ensure that they contain the necessary quality-related requirements prior to release for construction.
Prepare Technical Submittals, Inspection Test Plan (ITP), Method Statement, Material Inspection Report (MIR), and Hold Point Release (HPR) for all electrical items.
Ensure that all electrical works are correctly prepared prior to any inspection being undertaken.
Submit site daily reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis or as required.
Prepare material take-off and bill of quantities as per approved drawings and documents.
Coordinate with suppliers / vendors for the specifications and procurement of all electrical items.
Coordinate with site sub-contractors and client’s representative to ensure that communications exists and are maintained.
Attend weekly progress meeting and rising up the issues constraints on electrical and other related works.
Implementing Handover process such as preparation of Operation and Maintenance Manual, As-built drawings, etc.
Generally responsible for implementations and monitoring of all electrical related works at site.
Plan the execution of all electrical related works and coordinates the works to mechanical and civil groups.
Review all electrical drawings (IFC and shop drawings) to ensure that they contain the necessary quality-related requirements prior to release for construction.
Interprets construction drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any electrical related works.
Estimates, prepares and assigns the resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, ect., required for all electrical related works prior to execution.
Plans and analyses all possible construction methodologies and recommends the best options to the Project Manager for approval prior to execution at site.
Manages directly and provide engineering and technical supports to all electrical work groups at site.
Assign targets for accomplishments and ensure targets are met on daily basis for all electrical groups at site.
