Operations Manager for Bits & Drilling Tools Segment (BDT) at two Geomarkets for BDT Segment: QPG Geomarket (Qatar, Pakistan & Yemen) and EEG Geomarket (Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Sudan & South Sudan).
Overall Business Unit Financial results; revenue $44M USD per year.
BDT is a newly formed segment by merging two service segments globally; Bits & Advanced Technologies Segment (BAT) & Drilling Tools & Remedial Segment (DTR). The segment is divided into serval sub-segments:
1. Bits & Advanced Technologies (BAT)
2. Drilling Tools & Services (DTS); Borehole Enlargement, Turbines, Jars & Vibrations Mitigation tools, and Casing while Drilling
3. Fishing & Remedial (F&R); Fishing Services, Whipstocks & Sidetracking, Thru-Tubing
4. Equipment Sales; Tubulars & Subs, Surface equipment, Milling Tools.
Duties & Responsibilities:
o Responsibilities include; employee management and development, operations, inventory management, sales, product engineering, Health Safety & Environment (HS&E), quality training, planning and budget management.
o Managing several teams (Sales, Field Operations, Demand Planning, Assets & Inventory, Finance, Logistics & Customs).
o Reviewing work activities, job programs and job design in conjunction with the operations, sales and logistics groups to maintain and enhance existing business.
o Provide oversight to personnel development and ensure proper succession planning.
o Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Geomarket.
o Prepare, monitor, and control segment financial plans, including local/direct revenues, marketing and sales expenses, head count and profitability including DSO reduction plans and receivables.
o Responsible for enforcing all QHSE, HR, Financial and Compliance policies that relate to area of responsibility.
Operations Manager for B&AT (Smith Bits) at EEG Geomarket (Egypt, Jordan, & Syria) and SSD Geomarket (Sudan & South Sudan).
* Overall Business Unit Financial results; revenue $13M USD per year; IBT 30%, Market Share 33% (No.1 Bit Company in all EEG Countries).
Responsibilities & Duties:
o Responsibilities include; employee management and development, operations,
inventory management, sales, product engineering, Health Safety & Environment
(HS&E), quality training, planning and budget management.
o Managing several teams (Sales, Field Operations, Demand Planning, Assets &

Sales Engineer, Account Manager, & Senior Account Manager for B&AT (Smith Bits) at EEG Geomarket (Egypt, Jordan, & Syria)
o Managed several major accounts that generate over $6 Million in revenues annually; including Apache, Bp, HESS, Gupco (Bp), Zeitco (Dana Petroleum), Cepsa, Total, RWE, Edison, Nafto Gaz & Others.
o Looked after Bits operations in Jordan (BP, JOSCO, & Site Group) and Ethiopia (Tullow Oil & Africa Oil).
o Actively worked with other members of the sales team and assisted in forward planning of operations, sales forecast for customers, preparation of business plans, and participation in commercial and technical requirements for tenders. In addition to an efficient partaking in the final financial overview of the segment.
o Successfully opened new markets with new customers (BG, SUCO, RWE, Others) and introduced new technologies with existing ones; first to introduce the ONYX Technology Cutters in Egypt.
o Proficiently prepared drill bit proposals & recommendations for the abovementioned customers; while providing them with full technical support for the recommended bits & applications.
o Performed several After Well Reviews and Performance Analysis for future optimization for the customers’ drilling operations.
o Participated actively in product development in conjunction with the product engineering group to enhance our products’ performance.
o Acted as a focal point by coordinating numerous segments and presented different services offered by Schlumberger for high profile customers.
o Increased market share and revenues per customer per year; Apache from $150Kin 2007 to $3M in 2012; Zeitco from $50K in 2007 to $600K in 2011; amongst other achievements.
o Site Security Officer (SSO) for Smith Kattamia & Choueifat Facilities
Junior Field Engineer, Field Engineer for Wireline Segment at EEG Geomarket (Egypt, Sudan, Jordan, & Syria)
• Planned and executed well site Wireline logging (Open Hole) formation evaluation operations in Egypt, Sudan & India.
• Supervised junior field engineer and operator crew in the preparation of the unit and calibration of equipment
• Supervised operation of assigned Wireline service unit, cell and tool maintenance to maintain high standard efficiency and quality.
• EGKB (Egypt Kattamia Base) Lead Engineer for Qarun Petroleum Company (Join Venture Operation of EGPC & Apache Corporation) - Handled the operations of four (4) drilling rigs (Cell efficiency above 95%) with no CMS in two years.
• Worked & Performed high profile including HPHT jobs with several other major clients; BP Egypt, Apache, Gupco (BP), Rashpetco (BG), Petrobel (ENI), Wasco (Centurion), and Agiba (ENI).
• Loss Prevention Team (LPT) Leader (REW Segment ‐ the Wireline); as LPT Leader carried out HSE and Operational Audits, implemented and maintained QHSE Standards to minimize risk and loss to both employees and recourses.
