Responsibilities:
Assigned in civil works and structural works of Wheel and Terminal Building for bored pilling, mass concrete foundations, ground beam, post tension of beam, other concreting works, Steel Structure Erection, excavation, backfilling, installation & tensioning of Wheel spoke cables, and coordination for the preparation of Spare Parts List, Operation & Maintenance Manual, and Commissioning for Wheel.
Duties:
Construction Supervision and Management:
• Plan and coordinate the construction activities to achieve the construction requirements, so to ensure that the project completion will be in accordance with safety, quality, codes/standard, project specifications, schedule, budget and other requirements.
• Ensure that all Civil sub-contractors supervision and manpower are instructed in and comply with all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policy, site regulations, permit to work, and Client requirements.
• Ensure that Civil sub-contractors working adhere strictly to the latest Approved for Construction (AFC) project drawings, Specifications, Inspection Test Plans (ITP’s), Method Statement Procedures, Site Instructions and complete their work in accordance with the project schedules & budget.
• Informed the Planning Division on specific areas where the programme needs to be adjusted in accordance with site conditions.
• Liaise with engineering procurement, logistic, and project management with a view to supporting and optimizing the overall site construction effort.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact construction progress, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
• Provide regular progress reports, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and recommended actions.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure successful delivery of the project.
• Coordinate with client representatives to resolve punch list issues, schedule and conduct punch walk-thru, and ensure all punch list items are complete and rectified to the customer’s satisfaction.
Technical Office Engineering:
• Review, check and coordinate with sub-contractors, consultants, and independent engineers for the preparation and submission of Construction Drawings, Material Approvals, Method Statement and Risk Assessment, Request for Information (RFI), and other requirements of various construction activities.
Quality Control:
• Ensure the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the construction process, and conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with design and specifications.
• Monitor and assess construction activities to ensure they align with the approved plans and specifications.
• Collaborate closely with sub-contractors, consultants, and independent engineers to address quality related issues.
Quantity Surveying:
• Ensures that fully aware of any field change design during the construction stage, which will result in changes in Bill of Quantities, items, and figures.
• Evaluating the sub-contractors' monthly claims.
Commissioning:
• Coordinate with the Vendors, Consultants, and Independent Engineers for the preparation and approval of Wheel subsystems Spare Parts list, Operation & Maintenance Manuals, and Site Acceptance Test. Checked and Ensures that the preparation of End to End Safety Function checklist will comply with the Safety Requirements Specification, and System Level HAZID (Hazard Identification).
