As Operations Manager I am directly responsible for the Operational Safety and Technical Reliability of seven OSV’s including AHTS, FSIV’s and Tugs. I am also the Designated Person Ashore (DPA) and am responsible for maintaining and arranging the vessels TIP’s, clearance & convoy requirements and ensure compliance with Local Authorities & Administration bodies for the entire BOURBON fleet of over 50 vessels working under our management in Nigeria.
1. Act as Designated Person Ashore (DPA) for all Bourbon vessels operating in Nigeria and as such am the Emergency Response Team Leader for emergencies
2. Directly responsible for providing Operational & Logistical support for the fleet
3. Ensure compliance of the fleet to Flag & Class regulations and requirements
4. Ensure compliance of both Office & vessels to ISM & ISPS, MARPOL, SOLAS and other regulatory bodies’ regulations and requirements
5. Coach and train Officers and crew on the OVID requirements
6. Represent the Company during Vessels OVID, CMID and Client inspections
7. Formulate and implement Corrective Action Plans for any issues during inspections and ensure follow-up
8. Update OVPQ data base for vessels and publish responses after OVID inspections
9. Manage Vessels & Office Operational budget and over see Technical budget
10. Liaise closely with Contracts and Technical Managers to ensure Client Satisfaction through Operational Safety and Technical reliability
11. Responsible for leading Company HSE policies through regular vessel visits and training and assessment and instruction on our Operational Safety Management System
12.Ensure TIP’s, clearance and Local Authority compliance for the entire 50 vessels operating in Nigeria
13. Manage vessel fuel consumption and environmental planning

As the Marine Consultant Division Manager for the past 12 years, I am responsible for the overall Management and Administration of the Marine division under our Company contract to the Department of Defence (Navy) for the entire maintenance & availability of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Survey Vessels
Responsibilities
•Overall supervision of personnel, procedures and systems, including quality, clerical and administration ensuring a safe and congenial work environment
•To act as Marine Division Company representative at all meetings
•Liaison with Clients to ensure good levels of communication and service are maintained at all times and ensure issues are resolved expeditiously
•Management of Vessels to ensure Lloyds Register of Shipping (LRS) Class is maintained & Liaison Officer during annual LRS ISM audits on vessels.
•Overall co-ordination of the management of vessels maintenance including Production and Issue of Contracts, Production and management of project schedules, Preparation of budgets and budget reports for maintenance activities, Management of Warranty & Latent Defect claims Provision of technical reports and advice circulars, production of Work Instructions & Inspection Test Plans, Production & issue of Tenders, Contract/Quote compilation and evaluation.
•Overall Management and co-ordination of Planned & Preventative Maintenance for all vessels, Planning & Production of Planned & Preventative Maintenance Master Plans, Production and Issue of Planned & Preventative Maintenance Schedules
•Production of Technical Reports, Work Instructions & Inspection Test Plans and management of ILS, drawing and manual updates
•Arrange and Manage urgent repair action Overseas
•Management of sub-contractors including on site QA inspections to ISO 9001-2000, LRS and Navy standards
•Identify staff training requirements and additional facility hardware
•Promote and maintaining a safe, efficient and congenial work environment
