 Report to Crane Supervisor and Manager
 Get the daily planned work and assists colleagues for preparing necessary parts and tools
 Do daily inspection on Quay cranes or Rubber tired gantry’s and take notes for an additional jobs to be attained after the preventive maintenance
 Do the checklists provided, start on engine side, gantry brakes, tires, differentials, hydraulics etc.
 Replacing consumable parts such as oil filters, air filters, fuel filters, coolant filters, hydraulic filters, brake discs/pads, engine oils, hydraulic oils and differential oils depending on the hours used of the Cranes
 Measures the depth/pressures of tires
 Inspection and measurement of wire ropes and lubrication
 Greased all rotating parts such as, gantry wheels and hubs, trolley wheels and shafts, wire rope drums, sheaves etc.
 Replacing hoist and trolley wire ropes based on the hour used and measurements
 Replace and fix other mechanical parts required to ensure the smooth operation of Cranes
 Double check all functions, trolley, hoisting, gantry brakes, spreaders, hydraulic unit and make sure that it passes to quality control for the safety operation
 Make sure all replaced parts are written and reported to the Crane Supervisor and Manager with accuracy and completeness
 Maintains continuity among colleagues by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
 Ensures and advise safety coordination on matter of safety and loss prevention of the employees
 Making sure of tidiness and cleanliness of workshop facilities and all equipment

 Coordinates, Monitor and improves all government project covered by PHILMECH, by doing monthly visit,
inspections especially in rural areas.
 Acts as regional field coordinator for the implementation of the postharvest, mechanization and sustainability of
projects.
 Visiting rural areas and advice farmers on the current government projects or schemes.
 Do monthly discussion with the farmers regarding how to improve and maintain good quality of agricultural
products.
 Do monthly consultation and evaluation compliance with the government projects.
 Provide technical support to DA Regional Field Unit IV-A in the implementation of the Rice Mechanization and
Postharvest Program during the conduct of activities.
 Provide supports and guidance to other’s who perform on site routine services.
 Procurement of facilities/equipment of postharvest and mechanization technologies.
 Testing and evaluation of postharvest and mechanization technologies.
 Facilitate the implementation of the sustainability program of implemented and on-going mechanization and
postharvest facilities in the Region assigned for.
 Conduct technical documentation of rice mechanization and postharvest innovations, adopters, etc.
 Consolidation, maintain and update the project database at regional level.
 Status of functionality, utilization and other activities undertaken by the Flat Bed Dryer project beneficiaries in
the Region IV-A
 Prepare Weekly/monthly accomplishment of the region in rice mechanization and postharvest program (2011
and 2012).
 Prepare reports, presentations and actual demonstrations regarding the proper use of machineries.
 Conduct of information dissemination and communication campaign related to the projects being implemented.
 Represent PhilMech to meetings, conferences, congress and other information campaign activities facilitated and
organized by farmers.
 Assist in the conduct of field assessment and validation of other postharvest and mechanization technologies
 Act as SMS, lecturer and resource person during training, seminars, conferences and other forums
 Perform other task related to the projects

 Help in assisting clients and serves as the medium between the clients and service technicians working in the
garage.
 Responsible for attending the client’s needs by listening to customer's description of symptoms, clarifying
description of problems, conducting inspections and test driving the vehicles to identify mechanical problem.
 Verify insurance coverage and checking vehicle maintenance records including service schedules.
 Advise customers about necessary services for routine maintenance like normal service and or full service.

 Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and
services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system.
 Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle, providing contact telephone
numbers, arranging towing and temporary transportation.
 Directly contact the customer and address the vehicles issues and try to resolve problems and complaints.
 Maintain good relations between customer as well as the other department.
 Always project a positive mind and always think of better solutions to every problem.
 Monitor and supervise with a high standard of service by double checking the vehicle while in the service garage.
 Help in supervising customer service staff and work with initiatives.
 Filling in absence of one of the customer service staff if needed.
 Maintains automotive records by encoding problems in the company system to ensure the clients correct report
of the car service.
 Always maintains the highest standards, concept and practices of the company by following the company’s rules
and procedure.
 Always maintain a good relation between client and company.
