I am responsible for the Site Project execution of the following:
- Erection of new Power Transformers and respective accessories in Primary Substations A and B including Oil filling and assisting the Vendor in Test/Commissioning activities.
- Erection of new 33Kv GIS Switchgears and 11Kv Air Insulated Switchgears and assisting the Vendor in Test/Commissioning activities.
- Installation of Cable Tray System.
- Power and Control Cabling and Termination.
b.) Site Electrical Engineer/QAQC Engineer
Qatar Fertilizer Company Project
(April 27, 2014 to April 06, 2015)
I am currently leading the company’s team with respect to the following scopes:
b.1) QAFCO Plant 1 and QAFCO Plant 2.
- Installation of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS Double Conversion type).
- Assisted the UPS Vendor during Testing and Commissioning of the new UPS System.
- Restructuring of the plant lighting system through segregation of 30% plant lighting circuits to be used as Emergency Lighting in the plant.
b.2) QAFCO Plant 3
- Online and Shutdown replacement of 7 units of UPS System.
- Assisted the UPS Vendor during Testing and Commissioning of the new UPS System.
I simultaneously handled all the Site activity management for both plants during construction with respect to the Project Completion Schedule.
I initiated all submittals for Material Approval Request.
I prepared and submit all Request for Inspection documents.
I attended the Site Quality Inspection including Testing and Commissioning together with the Client.
c) Site Electrical Engineer
Qatar Petroleum Halul Island
(October 25, 2013 to April 20, 2014)
I held the responsibilities of Site Construction Management of the Qatar Petroleum New Accommodation Facilities, New Security and Telephone Buildings in Halul Island.
The scopes of the project covered the Installation, Site inspection, Testing and Commissioning of:
a) MV and LV Switchgears
b) 11Kv Emergency Diesel Generator
c) MV Power Transformers
d) MV Power Cabling and Termination
e) LV Power System including UPS System
f) Street Lighting System
g) Fire and Gas Detection System
i) Telecom System i.e. PAGA, Telephone, SMATV
j) Access Control and Security System
I reviewed deliverables like drawings, documents and materials. In the event of any deviation from the approved design for construction were encountered, I am responsible in creating the formal Technical Query and Concession Request to be submitted and to be discussed to Client for the required review and approval.
I led and directly monitored/supervised the project site execution and progress concerning the following:
a) 220Kv Underground Power Cable Laying, Cable Splicing, GIS Cable Sealing/Termination, Site Inspection, Cable Testing and Commissioning activities.
b) 33Kv Underground Cable Laying, Cable Splicing/Termination, Site Inspection, Cable Testing and Commissioning activities.
c) LV Cabling, termination, Site Inspection and Testing activities.
d) Installation, Test and Commissioning of Cathodic Protection System for Underground Pipelines, Tank External and Re-bars in Concrete. Assisting the Vendor during the Testing and Commissioning of the Cathodic Protection System.
d) Installation of HV and MV Power Transformers, HV and LV GIS Switchgears and MV Motors.
e) Assisting the Vendor during the Testing and Commissioning activities of the HV and MV Power Transformers, HV and LV GIS Switchgears and MV Motors.
I was responsible for the review, implementation and supervision of the project specification requirements during construction progress involving the Installation and Testing of the following:
a) MV Cables
b) Fiber Optic Cables
c) MV and LV Switchgears, Motors and Transformers
d) Process Instruments
e) Cathodic Protection System for Underground Pipelines, Tank Externals and Re-bars in concrete.
f) Access Control, Telecommunication, Fire and Gas Systems
g) Indoor and Outdoor Power and Lighting System
I led the Company’s Engineering Team during the construction of Cathodic Protection for Oil and Gas Wells/Pipelines and Overhead Power Distribution Lines at Saudi Aramco Oil fields.

a) 115kV underground Power System from cable pulling, splicing, GIS sealing up to test and commissioning.
b) Installation, test and commissioning of 115 KV substation SF6 Gas Insulated Switchgears and its Protection, Control and Metering Systems.
c) Engineering and Construction of 380 KV Overhead Power Transmission Lines.
d) Installation and commissioning of Power Line foundation Cathodic Protection System.

Upgrading and Maintenance of 115 KV Overhead Power Transmission Lines from Juaymah Substation to Rahimah Substation.
Engineering/Construction and Inspection of Residential Palace and Commercial Building Electrical Designs covering Conduit Lay-out, Panel Installation, Cable Pulling/Termination of Circuitry, Fixture/Equipment Installations and Testing/Commissioning of the overall electrical installations prior to application of Electrical Service Connection.
