Joined Majid Al Futtaim, VOX Cinemas as a consultant on a 6 month, fixed term contract to assist in manpower planning in preparation for a massive growth phase into 12 locations, through the formation of JVCs with other cinemas in the region or opening of brand new sites. Handled HR Planning for a Bahrain JVC and Oman and took part in the opening of the first VOX cinema in Doha. Managed the Payroll and Admin teams in this period, mapped out existing processes, and made some process changes to foster more efficiency, mostly in performance management and onboarding. Majority of the work was based on the following:

 Compensation and Benefits - aligning existing employees of Bahrain and Qatar to the MAF grading structure
 Assigning new salaries (titles, incentive scheme, related activities) to be in line with new grading structure and getting sign offs. Emphasis here is to be fair to employees but try to minimise the margin of increase on the company.
 Labour law research to create contract templates and HR policy in line with both MAF policy and new country of operation - in charge of recommending most items on this list for Bahrain and Oman.
 Managing Payroll and HR Admin teams (8 employees), overlooking all approvals to do with visas, payroll, onboarding, petty cash, off-boarding, food handler cards, and related activities. Revamped the onboarding process and introduced structure to the performance management process.
 Overlooking migration to Success Factors, an SAP HRMS system.

Key Achievements: Streamlined admin/entity setup/HR Ops for 4 countries + quick turnaround on high recruitment demands for 12 ventures across 4 counties through a small lean & efficient team + close relationship with all Founders/MDs to resolve all people related issues swiftly and smoothly.

Key Achievements: Hired the first 2 females in the KSA office/ set up a female section in the Riyadh office + led a job grade project for all non-management level employees in the Middle East + set up a massive diversity event tying up the Henkel UAE office’s diversity with Henkel’s mission and vision statements; the event hosted high level executives from the head office and was highly praised.

Handled all aspects of HR for this small start-up e-commerce, along with working side to side with the founder on all other projects, such as SEO, Logistics + operations to streamline order-to-delivery process along with identifying the right kind of suppliers.
