Tasks:
* Initially Logicom had a very strong sales presence in KSA, however they were transitional in the operational aspect for which I was hired and for indipendancy from 3PL.
* Additionally I have been acting as Operations Manager whilst providing advice, creating new proceedures & policeies in areas such as Sales, Purchasing, Admin and HR.
* One of my current projects are to aid in opening a branch office in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, and another Logistics Department & warehouse in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Accomplishments:
* Successfully removed Logicom from its dependency on a 3PL provider and formed a Local Logistics department & warehouse in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia of their own; currently having an average of 20 million US dollars of stock. This task included deciding/planning for an appropriate warehouse, equipment, hiring & training staff sufficient for a 5year plan based on a prepared & agreed budget.
* Upon my own initiative; after studying & analyzing distribution reports, the need for further expantion on potential was needed. I have successfully implemented a 6 day working program for Logistics & Warehouse dept., while the rest of the departments worked only 5 days a week. Said arrangement was made with no additional employees.
Tasks:
* Managed all logistics staff, delivery trucks, and a warehouse with an average of 10 million US Dollars worth of stock. Maintaining more than a thousand SKU’s; main products include Dell, Intel, Juniper, Symantec, Citrix, Wyse, Foundry, McAfee, SMC, Cheetah, Veritas, CA, Crystal Reports, etc.
* Files all documentations pertinent to all aspects of logistics & operations.
* Controlled petty-cash/expenses for entire department and for its related functionalities.
* Physically receives & evaluates shipments from vendors, later receives the same on the ERP, and sends reports to finance dept. for payments to vendors.
* Does invoicing, issues credit notes, handles export shipments and RMA’s to various parts of the world depending on each vendors specific requirments.
Accomplishments:
* Joined Mindware as Admin. Secretary and was subsequently promoted 3 times within the 1st year; to Sales Administrator, to Logistics Officer and to the position I last held.
* When I started with Mindware, they didn’t have a local warehouse nor local stock. Hence, I started out working my way with a small office-room full of Intel stock to a 1, 000sqm warehouse and a fully functional Logistics Department.
* Reduced courier costs by dispatching our own delivery trucks for local deliveries as needed & whenever possible without depending entirely on courier services.
* Due to my fast learning capabilities, whenever a requirement for training is needed for sales staff, purchasing, etc.. The management sends me on a ‘train the trainer’ basis, where I would get myself trained and train the required staff when I have returned.
Tasks:
* Worked as Executive Administrator in the branch office with two showrooms.
* Worked as assistant to the company director.
* Responsible for filing all documentations, time sheet of the sales staff, receipt of purchase orders, and stock reports of both the Showrooms.
* Prepared sales quotations and special promotional quotes for the entire sales crew.
* Designed flyers, posters and brochures for promotions, special sales, bundled items and such.
Tasks:
* Trained in CSP (Customer Services Program) focusing on understanding customer requirements, making use of customer relations by fitting in to the individual needs of each customer, and how to coordinate by establishing rapport with the client from the time of meeting until the sales transaction is done and the customer confirms satisfaction.
* While training, I was required to work as ‘Customer Services Executive’, where I put into practice everything I have learned throughout the CSP training process.
* My job scope was to meet the customer after the sales staff had made their initial meeting and an order had been placed. Then collect the down payment, make sure deadline for orders are met. After delivery remaining payment is collected, and i simultaniously make sure the client is satisfied and make our business relationship stronger for future transactions.
