Oversaw daily operations of Canadian parent and US manufacturing subsidiary - design
and manufacture of 3D printed custom orthotics. Managed Finance dept. of 4 employees,
and manufacturing production staff of 9. Directed Additive Manufacturing and Distribution
operations for D2C sales model. Established and drafted all policies and procedures for
Office Administration (in both Canada & the US), Manufacturing Operations, Sales and
Marketing, Human Resources, Benefits Administration, and Finance Operations
Led and completed successful seed funding round securing $2.5 million in seed finance as
well as completing a Series A round of $4 million from established VC firms and industry
investors
Designed and built the world's first Adaptive Distributed Manufacturing factory to facilitate
production of mass customized, 3D printed orthotics - fulfilled the world's most successful
3D printing Kickstarter within 3 months of campaign close.
Worked closely with investors for quarterly / annual financial reporting, operations
consulting and Board reporting
Worked in close collaboration with Product Design team and Material Science team to
refine product iterations and powder blend compositions through to final product lock
Achieved a 99.7% production success rate
Reduced COGS by more than 75% and reduced delivery times from avg. of 19 days down
to 3 days for domestic orders and 5 days for international customers
Established and managed a national network of resellers and retail sales channel partners
Coordinated onboarding of new resellers, the development of supporting marketing
assets, and oversaw community engagement / brand ambassador program
