The Red Sea Development Project-Hotel (Coastal Village Housing & Hotel)

The Red Sea project is one of the three giga projects of Saudi Arabia. The strategic objective of this project is to transform the Red Sea coast into a unique luxury tourist destination.
Design, construction, testing and commissioning of 10 nos apartment buildings and a Hotel. All the design is based on Modular construction.
Construction of a 1.5 million square meter coastal village area which will house 15000 workers, staff, and management of the mega-city project.


Residential Buildings:
Management Residential Contractor is to design, manufacture, construct, test and commission of the 10 Nos. Liner Residential G+2 Buildings with a total built-up area of 22, 670 sqm, which consists of 8 Nos. 1- & 2-Bedroom blocks and 2 Nos. 2 bedroom blocks. It includes Design and construction of all building foundations, structure, building envelope, and finishes. All earthworks, underground utilities, and external works circulation roads within the Coastal village including hard and soft landscaping, car park and parking shades.

Al Faisaliah Development Project-Hotel (Mandarin Oriental) Renovation

This hotel renovation project consists of 4 Blocks A, B, C & D. Block C & D consist of 120 rooms which includes 20 Deluxe suite and 100 superior rooms. Playing a key part in Riyadh’s urban development, the 240, 000-square-metre Al Faisaliah Complex is centred around Saudi Arabia’s first skyscraper, alongside a five-star hotel, a banqueting and conference centre, luxury apartments and a three-storey retail mall, located in the centre of Riyadh city.
The total cost of the development is 1.3 Billion SAR, where the total cost of our scope, Block C & D is 85 Million SAR.

Site based in Riyadh; Al Rajhi HQ project has been designed. Project consist of 36
floors office building which included recreational floor like restaurant, Gym etc. and
with separate 8 levels car park. The utilities for buildings are served via a facility
building that has generator rooms, transformer rooms, underground water tank,
underground fuel tank and mechanical rooms. Total project cost is 900 Million SAR.
Arcadis provided construction supervision on this project and I am responsible for
the compliance of the Architectural engineering construction for limited floor i.e. GF-,
L1, L2, L3, L13, L26, L35 & L36.

King Abdullah Financial District Project consists of office buildings divided in parcels. All
parcels/Buildings are interconnected with Skywalks. All Skywalks is of Octagonal shapes
with exterior cladding of unitized glazed panel of triangular shape & Interior finished with
Fabric panel and Raised floor. The project cost is 350Million SAR. Saudi Diyar provided
construction supervision on these 57 Skywalks and I had completed 22 skywalks out of 57
and responsible for the compliance of the Architectural engineering construction, including
approval of works, technical submittals of shop drawings, construction methodologies,
method statements, materials, construction monitoring programme, responding to
contractor’s queries, qc/coordination etc.

Architectural Site Supervisor at Dar Al Riyadh

The project value of our scoped zone (S3 & S4) is 1.5Billion SR which consist of 4 towers, 2
towers for Westin hotel and 2 towers for Sheraton Hotel and 10 floors of Podium commonly
used for both hotels. All 4 towers consist of 32 floors.
Dar Al Riyadh provided construction supervision of both hotels for the compliance of the
Architectural engineering construction, including approval of works, technical submittals of
shop drawings, construction methodologies, method statements, materials, construction
monitoring programme, responding to contractor’s queries, qc/coordination etc.

responding to contractor’s queries, qc/coordination etc.

Job Profile & Responsibilities-KSA: -
• Carrying out the site inspections of Architectural/ID/Fitout Finishes work. Advise the Contractor
Engineer of any technical aspects of the project architectural works that may affect construction
progress
• Carrying out the inspections (MIR) of all architectural Material arriving on site as per approval.
• Make sure the work done at site is confirming to the Contract, Approved plans and project
specifications.
• Review contractor’s architectural shop drawing in conjunction with the structure, mechanical and
electrical engineers to ensure engineering co-ordination and advise Contractor accordingly.
• Review contractor’s architectural material submittals, PQD, MST & shop drawings in conjunction
with the structure, mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure engineering co-ordination and
advise Contractor accordingly.
• Assist the development of architectural designs using CAD software.
• Issuing daily field report regarding issues, progress and status of Inspections
• Reporting regarding the issuance of SON and NCR to the Sr. Architect Engineer
• Undertake general project site observation / inspection of the architectural works for Contractor’s
adherence to the approved shop drawings and Consultant’s specification, good working
practices.
• In conjunction with the document controller, ensure that all architectural documents are logged
and filed in accordance with the site procedures manuals.
• Monitor Health and Safety of the construction works and report on the same. If required stop the
construction works if unsafe practices are being followed.
• Attend project progress meetings as required.
• Attend internal project managers meetings.
• Actively work with the contractor’s team to resolve issues on site to minimize program delays.
• Record defects and bring them to the attention of the Senior Architect Engineer.
• Monitor the ongoing construction of the structural & architectural work and instruct the contractor
to make corrections as necessary to improve the finish of the constructed works.
• Responsible for the efficient implementation of quality assurance / quality system and
