Senior Maintenance Technician & QSC Leader
The Maintenance Technician Mechanical is responsible for doing modifications on corrective and preventive maintenance, to minimize the failures in electric and mechanical equipment in order to prevent either loss time or poor quality data by ensuring that assigned equipment is maintained as per standards.
As a Quality Steering Committee Leader, It’s like working along with the technicians and finding out the deficiencies in the process and making processes more reliable and easy.
In Schlumberger my Projects as a Quality Steering Committee Leader are as below:
Creating Standard Work Instructions with Illustration pictures which enable technicians to follow accurate and simple procedures to do the preventive maintenance's. SWI lists all the tasks, hand tools, special tools and jigs used for specific preventive maintenance.
Creating Preventive Maintenance Kits as per the schedule in the SAP. Preventive Maintenance Kits consolidates all parts needed for a given Preventive maintenance event so that Procurement can hand it to maintenance into one single kit. Hence, the maintenance technician does not waste his time any more looking for parts and/or to stop his maintenance because he has forgotten one part before starting.
Working on Simple and Easy Root Cause Analysis techniques like Fish Bone Diagram, 5 Why and creating "Lessons Learned, Technical Alerts etc., "
Ensuring Ready Boxes for field for each individual type of asset which contains all the special hand tools and accessories while working with such equipment.
Job preparation procedure. Used to handle preventive and corrective maintenance. Worked with Petroleum Development of Oman (PDO) as a supply in-term of maintenance of rotating equipment such as centrifugal and reciprocating compressor, gas turbines, gas engines and specially beam pumps. Familiar with various alignment techniques
