Description:
The objective of the Dubai Holding portal project is to build the Dubai Holding Intranet and Internet portals for all Dubai Holding Entities (Which are around 30). The project involved the development of all these portals plus 15 services and the installation and the configuration of the complete environment which included 18 IBM AIX servers and 2 Windows development servers. Each portal for every entity was treated as a separate project since every entity had their own design agency for their portal look and also customized portals to better fit their business needs. Every portal had their own content management environment for content publishing. IBM WebSphere Portal was used as the portal deliver platform and the IBM Web Content Management system was used as the content management platform, the backend databases where Oracle, in addition for using IBM Quick Place and Same Time servers for real time collaboration and personalized work places. All servers where clustered in a highly available load balanced setup.

Responsibility:
Primary: Build the whole Portal environment and installing IBM DB2 Content Management. Secondary: Help Building a web content management system (developing in WCM) and consolidate Portal Oracle DB's under small numbers of oracle instances build Oracle 9i RAC on AIX. Provide the needed support and troubleshoot.

Technologies:
IBM WebSphere Portal Server v5.1.0.1 (Cluster) and WebSphere Application Server v5, IBM HTTP Server v1.3.28 (Cluster), Cluster WCM-Edge component, Oracle 9i r2 and IBM TWSA 4.5. Used OS/HW: AIX v 5.3/IBM Risk machines-P-Series.

Description:
The objective of the eGov informational portal will be to provide content about the Jordanian government and the services provided by government agencies for three main types of users: Citizen (G2C), Business (G2B) and Government (G2G). The general public content will be mainly static and will not require authentication to access. Only internal governmental content will be protected and require authentication of government employees. A list of e-Services was selected to provide the Jordanian citizens and government employees with the ability to obtain some of the services provided by the ministries through the Jordan eGov Portal. Five companies where selected to implement this project with STS. I performed the role of the Portal Administrator for all five companies.
