Worked for corrosion & inspection jobs in Gas cracker, EPRU, HDPE, OSBL and Utility plants in RIL-DMD & HYD, SUL, MTF, RTF plants in RIL JMD.
Providing welding procedure for SMAW, GTAW and other welding procedures.
Inspection and maintence of ethylene cracking furnace.
Carrying out CUI, Corrosion loop, Yard piping, Fire water network, external/Internal inspection of static equipments, cold insulation survey, Witnessing PSV & PMI activities at RIL DMD.
Responsible for carrying out various testing & NDTs in radiant tubes of cracker furnace & involved in deep studies & development of metturgies for radiant tubes.
Periodically reviewing database information and ensuring that appropriate repair / replacements to the equipments are recommended through SAP and” Meridium APM’’.
Ensure that the raw materials used for work are in compliance with specified requirement through material receiving inspection (MTC).
Providing technical supports and maintenance assistance during turnaround for inspection of equipments. Knowledge of various international code of design of static equipment employed in refinery/petrochemical plants. such as ASME Sec IX, Sec V, TEMA standards, API570, 510, 653&580.
Review and approval of WPS and PQR.
Witnessing and approval of welder performance qualification (WPQ) test.
Review and approval of quality control plans.
Surveillance of QC activities during fabrication.
Perform root cause analysis.
Inspection & testing of static equipments such as Heat exchangers, Columns, Drums, Vessels, & fittings, during shutdowns..
Quality Assurance of welding of Piping’s like fit up, weld visual, DP, Hydro test & Pneumatic test.
Deals with Pneumatic & Hydraulic test of spool pieces and entire line. Thickness survey of piping.
Conduction of various NDT methods like Radiography, UT and magnetic Particle Testing
Inspection of raw material and consumables like tools, welding rods etc as per specified standards.
Undergone Inspection of welding electrode baking, preheating and post heating, post weld heat treatment and hardness of weldments and HAZ
Witness RFET testing of Exchangers and Fin fans.
Compliance in accordance with HSE standards.
Handling all piping technical queries and all field pipe work related problems, including the drawing of field sketches when necessary.
Good knowledge with drawings such as piping isometric, Equipment GA and P & ID.
Prefabrication of spool, onsite erection of spool, valve maintenance and replacement.
Responsible for piping erection operation and pipe support installation in accordance with schedule, procedure, specification, priorities and availability of drawings.
Conducting Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), which includes Magnetic Particle Inspection & Dye Penetration Inspection, UT and radiography.
Inspection of raw material and consumables like tools, welding rods etc as per specified standards
Preparation and maintaining of inspection reports, welder performance and QC documents.
Compliance in accordance with HSE standards.
Completd 4 year regular class with passed out GPA 73% under Anna University.
SSLC - Maths, Physics, Chemistry - Kerala State Board, Kerala, India (2004) - 70%
