• Lead, manage and participate in task teams to prepare and supervise technical assistance and advisory activities particularly in transport engineering, transport corridors, logistics infrastructure, and transport policy.
• Lead discussions on enabling policy interventions in transport sectors, National Transport Policy, and use of evidence based planning.
• Lead and participate in preparing new projects and support other project teams during preparation and implementation of ongoing projects. The focus should remain on sector technical issues ranging from policy reform, corridor connectivity and transport logistics, general institutional setups, and PPP-led initiatives, but also those that may surface due to client demand and need.
• Lead and participate in the supervision of transport projects under implementation primarily in member countries, provide technical expertise during implementation of ongoing transport projects.
• Lead frequent field visits to project sites across member countries, review ongoing works, and hold discussion with counterparts, stakeholders throughout all member countries when needed.
• Initiate dialogue with stakeholders on innovative logistics solutions, share international experience with freight flows and logistics solutions. Provide credible insights and share best practice on strategic reforms in road/rail and maritime transport, port management, multimodal options and freight logistics. Demonstrate assessment of market potential leveraging multimodal transport system and road/rail freight.
• Promote the participation of the private sector in the financing and delivery of transport logistics work and corridor improvements.
• Assist country teams in including the Transport agenda in the Country Partnership Strategy and macro dialogue
• Lead and/or provide critical inputs to the design and execution of policy and research initiatives, and conceive and promote innovations in sector policies and strategies in the area of transport.
• Participate in professional development and knowledge sharing activities in the transport sector and contribute specific knowledge both within the assigned country and in the IsDB.
• Support capacity development in the pertinent implementing entities to design and implement enhancements to urban transport infrastructure and transport services and operations, and address potential social and economic externalities.
• Take responsibility for technical quality enhancement, innovation, partnerships, mentoring, in order to continuously deepen and strengthen the technical excellence of the practice.
• Ensure effective collaboration and partnership between Governments the IsDB, and other development partners in the transport sector
• Stay abreast of key developments in transport policy, planning, operations, management, governance, financing, and in cross-cutting issues affecting the performance of the urban transport sub-sector, such as: logistics, governance frameworks, environment, safety, social and health impacts, and gender issues.
• Mentor less experienced staff on technical and analytical design issues and on Bank policies and procedures.
• Supporting formulation and implementation of institutional reforms and capacity building initiatives in the road sector in cooperation with responsible agencies and other partners at country level.
• Work effectively with the transport teams in the Regional Hubs.
To carry out the identification, appraisal, supervision and administration of IDB financed projects under the Transport Division. To assist in the development of TDB Transport sector policies in member countries. To undertake work according to the general policies, principles and goals of IDB and in close collaboration with internal and external project stakeholders.
Policies, Processes and Procedures
• Participate in the preparation of policy/strategy papers, new programs and knowledge product development.
• Comply with IDB's policies and guidelines in the design and implementation of Transport sector projects, including environmental issues.
• Contribute in conducting analytical/economic and sector work (ESW) as well as in sector dialogue exercise during Member Country Partnership Strategy (MCPS) and programming missions with IDB Member Countries.
Project Management
• Participate in project identification activities of the Bank and assess the projects' suitability for the fulfillment of sector objectives of the Bank.
• Undertake detailed project review, appraisal, implementation and supervision.
• Carry out on a regular basis the development, processing and administration of complex loan and technical assistance projects in the Transport sector.
• Provide substantial advice to executing agencies on project preparation and implementation.
• Provide sector insights in country dialogues inside and outside the Division/Department.
• Contribute to sector studies required for the development and implementation of sector policy.
• Have the knowledge of and ability to apply safeguards (environmental, social, etc.) as relevant to the Transport sector projects and programs undertaken by the Bank.
• Prepare cost-benefit and socio-economic analysis of the Bank's projects in the Transport sector including preparation of financial/ economic analysis of projects.
• When required, participate in project appraisal and supervision missions to monitor field activities and to assess the achievement of sector objectives.
• Monitor Projects and Programs key results and impact.
• Undertake the outcome assessment of the assigned Transport sector portfolio through periodic evaluation of all projects and TAs assigned in the portfolio.
• Participate in the preparation of project completion reports to provide insights into the achievement (or otherwise) of project/sector objectives.
Knowledge Sharing & Innovation
• Provide knowledge based advisory services to country teams for integrating transport issues in Strategy Papers, Poverty Assessments, and lending operations.
• Participate in and contribute to training and conferences on the Transport sector and other activities for advocacy, dissemination and knowledge building.
• Participate in introducing best practices in handling of sector projects and programs.
• Provide technical inputs to peers inside and outside the Department in transport related issues.
Reporting and Communication
• Collect, analyze and process information on Transport sector projects, programs and other initiatives having Bank's involvement as well as for those aspects that are of a global nature but of relevance to the Bank's operations.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports.
Duteis: Project Manager: Jacksonville Metropolitan Planning Organization Coordinator: Meet federal transportation planning requirements for Areas with a population up to 200, 000 residents. Assist in building a Transcad based travel demand model for the year 2040 to replace the existing one. Develop and prioritize projects the organization believes should be included in the State’s Transportation Improvement Program. Direct resources as available. Develop and implement annual work plan. Project manager for four Comprehensive Transportation Plans, scoping, planning, organizing and directing activities concerned with project works. These plans include Highway, Transit, Rail, Bicycle, and Pedestrian Plans, for the areas of concern and surrounding areas. Such plans include maintenance of existing assets, improvement of existing plans, and future development, utilizing advanced technology; such as TransCad modeling for future growth.
Other special assignments include developing a Transcad traffic model for the widening of a major highway project (US 13) in Ahoskie in North Carolina.
Duties: Performed traffic studies in Municipalities and school areas around the state, collected data, performed data analysis using Synchro 7, SIDRA, Simtraffic, developed traffic models and plans around schools and towns throughout the state, this included parking plans and studies involving the transformation of signalized intersections to roundabouts, reviewed and modified traffic impact analyses submitted through consultants, wrote, submitted, and presented full traffic impact studies and reports solving traffic congestion around schools and towns throughout the state, and conducted meetings with city and school officials, District, Regional, and Division Traffic Engineers to discuss and present results and reports.

• Design retaining walls for residential compound buildings using Keystone software.
• Design small size masonry and wood structures.
• Analyze communication guy cabled towers using Eritower.
• Test wood structures.
• Write and submit full reports showing calculations, analysis, and results.

Major undergraduate concentration was structural engineering. Post graduate studies in transportation engineering. Currently pursuing the Master's Degree in transportation engineering with six out of ten courses completed in highway design, highway safety, traffic operations, transportation systems planning, railway engineering, and transportation policy and funding..
