Safety Officer
Job Duties
• Inspecting the pipeline photography welding to ensure it is secured
• Inspecting the fire extinguishers, breathing apparatus and securing scaffolding
• Controlling and reporting the performance of contractors and sub contractors during the construction of gas process stabilizing plant
• Developing and implementing training schemes for local safety engineers, technicians in addition to specialized training for all categories of employees on various aspects of loss control
• Theoretical and practical training for emergency response and organizing drills, exercises (four million man-hours without a lost time accident)
• Establishing HSE Plan
• Securing people, property and equipment
• Conducting the safety induction and training for personnel
• Performing the safety inspection for equipment
• Maintaining the fire extinguishers and breathing apparatus
• Verifying the emergency evacuation plan
• Developing the safety awareness for personnel
• Ensuring the work is executed safely
• Attending the weekly and monthly safety meeting
• Monitoring the accidents/incidents and near miss reports
• Conducting the safety induction and training for personnel
• Performing the safety inspection for equipment
• Securing the electrical ovens for glass and silica
• Verifying the emergency evacuation plan
• Developing the safety awareness for personnel
• Ensuring the work is executed safely
• Attending the weekly and monthly safety meeting
• Preparing the accidents/incidents and near miss reports

• Ensuring the ventilation system in a good working condition to minimize the dust ratio emitted from the production of cartoon

• Preparing HSE reports
• equipment maintenance and training
• Developing mutual aid scheme with nearby sister companies for fire fighting
• Securing take off and landing of military and civil planes
• If emergency, preparing runways with foam using high expansion foam machine to secure landing of planes
• Training on planes simulation
• Training on how to use fire trucks, emergency and rescue equipment
• Participating in rescue operations in case of planes crashing
