As part of completing my masters it was required of me to submit a dissertation on a topic of my choice. I chose to do my dissertation on the comparing the productivity of conventional and Islamic banking in Malaysia. The results of my dissertation proved very interesting, showing that Islamic banking was significantly more stable than conventional banking during and post the financial crisis period.
