Health Core Selection Project for the Ministry of Health

HealthIT was a nationwide project initiated by the Bahrain Ministry of Health in conjunction with various other bodies such as the Ministry of Finance, Central Informatics Organization, Civil Cervices Bureau etc., to draft the Strategic direction of Bahrain healthcare (including Health Best Practices and requirements) . The project includes a 10 year span during which an internationally recognized firm in brought in to implement these solutions in a Build Own Operate and Transfer (BOOT) format. (www.moh.gov.bh)
The program involved all hospitals and health centers with an allocated budget of 90 Million USD. Consulting was held and updated directly to H.E. the Minister of Health, and the Undersecretary.
The project involves an evergreen agreement whereby control measures and monitoring procedures are laid out to ensure best practices are maintained and updated. The implementation involves Software, Hardware, Services and Personnel within the Ministry's framework.
