Hecate is an international consulting firm providing architectural, urban planning, interior design, engineering, management and advisory services. It specializes in hotels and resorts.
As part of the Architectural team, I am currently in charge of the architectural design of residential, resort units and retail projects.
As part of the team, I am involved in every decision related to the projects, but particularly responsible for leading the project through all its phases from the preliminary design phase, to the permit phase, to developing final design and working drawings. I also am involved in the execution phase through coordination with structural and electro-mechanical engineers to insure proper implantation as per the approved blue prints.
Between April 2008 and February 2012, I competed the work on more than 10 projects, including:
- 2 Luxurious Residential buildings (Yarze/Lebanon)
- West Market Aleppo Mall: an extension for the Sheraton Hotel (Aleppo/Syria)
- Luxurious Residential building (Antelias/Lebanon)
- Mountainside chalet consisting of 3 triplex chalets(Faraya/Lebanon)
- Green Valley Project: a large scale multifunctional project (Kfarzebian/Lebanon)
- Makse ecovillage: A very large scale development project consisting of a residential, commercial, industrial, sports and leisure zone.
This entry-level job, presented an opportunity for me to acquire my preliminary
Hands-on architectural experience while continuing my education.
I basically worked on the architectural design of a medium scale project of a compound of mountainside chalets. My contribution specifically included developing the preliminary design phase, the permit phase and the working drawings.
I was also responsible for developing complete construction packages including: Architectural/Structural/Electrical and Mechanical drawings, in coordination with specialized engineers. This gave me a very good pre-graduation experience.
After gaining some professional C.A.D experience from the previous training, I started to have more drawing efficiency. During this training I worked on the development of plans and elevations of a prize-winning offices Building project in Beirut.
During this first training, my role was to help the architects in developing drawings, especially in plan development and interior design phases.
