Position: Function On the Job Trainer
Section: Staff Development Function
1)Responsibility:
A) Training and Development
•Develop On Job training programs to address line competence requirements.
•Implement training programs (On Job) to address closing of identified gaps.
•Deliver training programs (On Job/Off job)
•Assist with Assessor training of line staff
•Liaise with Development Coordinators to develop programs for line staff
•Liaise with the line to identify improvements and defects in asset equipment.
•To act as custodian with single point responsibility for the Area training packages
B) Competence Assessment and Assurance:
•Assist line in assessing candidates for on-job competence.
•Identify Skills Gaps (both in Underpinning Knowledge and on-job competence)
•Submit to Development coordinators Performance indicators on a monthly basis to monitor progress.
•Receive daily instructions from Area/Campaign coordinators to fulfill area training requirements.
•Initiate candidate registration for all staff participating on CA&A scheme
•Maintain records of assessment progress and CA&A administration.
•Assist candidates to prepare evidence portfolios.
2) Challenges:
•To successfully implement and improve fit for purpose training as required by Function and PFAT customer requirements.
1)Responsibility:
•Review activities of the IAP (Interpreted Activity Plan) and 90-day plan, coordinating the required activities with the Production Asset planners, where service level agreements exist and directly with the Power System Supervisors and the Terminal supervisors.
•Prepare the Terminal 14 Day Plan for engineering, core and campaign activities with the following objective:
-Reduce deferment, cost and operator assistance by integration of activities.
-Maintain technical integrity by planning within the allowed variance duration.
•Review actual activity execution against the plan. Create fit for purpose performance indicators to indicate possible problems in workload and propose solutions.
•Manage the interface between core (asset executed) and campaign maintenance to ensure minimum backlog of activities is maintained, highlighting delays in critical maintenance activities.
•Manage the interface between operations and maintenance to ensure an increasing number of maintenance activities is executed as first line maintenance by operator.
•Initiate all SAP routine work orders and clear once completed. Issue daily schedule for the Terminal.
•Prepare detailed shutdown plans of major shutdowns and ensure deferment is kept to minimum. Evaluate each shutdown, follow up improvements and ensure inclusion in future shutdowns.
•From time to time stand in for direct supervisor.
•Ensure a high quality application of HSE policy and procedure in scheduling of activities.
2)Challenges:
•Manage integration of activities across the production assets and departments affecting the MOL along with activities planned from Infrastructure (e.g Qarn-Alam, Bahja/Rima, Campaign etc.)

Based on my experience in electrical I have managed to combine the Infrastructure shutdowns and operation shutdowns, which were done separately before. This has result on reducing shutdown costs in thousand RO/year
1.Responsibility:
•To provide stable power supply to all power user within PDO, whilst ensuring the integrity of the power generation, transmission facilities with special emphasis on maintenance requirement of Overhead (O/H) lines, Substations, Stations, DWD (Deep Water Disposal) Stations and all production wells (Beam Pumps + ESP’s)
•Focal point for the commissioning of new utilities facilities
•Carry out investigation and troubleshooting in all electrical equipment failures. Detect, analyse and make recommendations to prevent repetitive failure on all electrical equipments. Analyse performance indicators and make recommendations for system improvements.
•Act as leave relief for section Supervisor.
•Execute planned and corrective maintenance in an efficient, cost effective and safe manner in order to get reliable equipment, while maintaining technical integrity and to achieve the team targets.
•Maintain documentation: as build drawings, vendor manual, etc.
•Preparing detailed shutdown plans and switching programs.
•Maintaining & ordering the stock material available in the workshop store.
•HSE accountabilities:
Ensure implementation and adherence to the requirements of the HSE management System.
2.Challenges:
•To maintain and improve the reliability of power supplies to all users with an increasing load trend, during maintenance intensive period. This shall be achieved in carrying out all the maintenance required and closing of work-orders in time and proper recording of equipment history.
•Familiarise with any newly introduced electrical apparatus in the system.•Reduce the operating cost by reducing down time costs.
3.Proudly achievements for this job:
•As a team working we have together managed to reduced down time cost of switching programs into a minimum time, this resulting on saving thousand barrels of oil and therefore saving thousands RO.
