Train the junior Planning Engineer/Planning Engineer in planning techniques and coaching them to fulfil the project performance monitoring requirements.
Responsible in assigning detail resources (Manpower, Equipments & BOQ) for all Divisions (Civil/Structural, Finishes, MEP & External Works) in order to assess resource requirements & their levelling to optimize their needs within project schedule requirements.
Supervise/Responsible in assigning detailed activity codes, cost accounts, resources codes in the Project Schedule to generate Earn Value Management & S-curves.
Preparing Job cost report and mantaining the commited margin of the jobs.with procurement skills and negotiating skills and value engineering.
Develop Methodologies for data collection & coordination to different site representatives in order to follow up project progress.
Assess the quality of Baseline Control Schedule and programme and make necessary changes to help create a quality tool to monitor project performance.
Coordinate with PE/PCE in developing & monitoring Project Earn Value Management System
Check, analyze & comment on subcontractor’s schedules to and use it in developing detailed schedule.
Provide reports on resource requirements (Direct & Indirect) Manpower Histograms & Spreadsheets to PD/PM.
Follow up with Engineering, Procurement & Construction teams to collect & verify project
Progress & use them in updating project schedule to assess the project milestones are achievable.
Analyze actual project progress, revised critical path and available floats of activities and recommend possible solutions to Project Control Manager & PD/PM if critical path is beyond required completion dates.
Prepares revised schedules for EPC to comply with the Project & Client/Consultant requirements.
Prepare & issue Short Term Work Plans (such as 2-Weeks or 4-Weeks look ahead) & communicate these plans to various members of Project Team.
Prepares periodic reports for PD/PM, Head Office Management & Client/Consultant.
Prepare and present the project progress, performance and Areas of Concerns to the project management team, client personnel and HO management.
Attend meetings with Project Management Team, Subcontractors and Client/Consultant to follow up project progress.
Develop and follow Extension of Time procedure in coordination with PCM and contract Manager.
