 Implements approved departmental policies, processes, procedures and provides instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
 Accomplish the effective achievement, of departmental objectives through the leadership of the department, setting individual objectives, recruiting qualified staff, performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal, in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance.
 Provide a one-stop center of expertise responsible for all transport / logistics activities, and resolution of claims, so that issues are completed effectively on time, thereby releasing various areas to their own functional activities.

 Review on a timely basis internal KPI, savings, employees work load and monitoring status report.
 Ensure employees have the required knowledge and information needed to achieve the departmental goals and savings.
 Collect, review and analyse information regarding strategies, plans, policies and procedures based on operational analysis to maximize rate reduction and savings.
 Provide leadership and direction through coaching, supporting and developing direct reports, establishing annual performance objectives, conducting performance assessments and identifying opportunities for skill development
 Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
 Liaises with other departments, regarding forecast, resourcing and services as necessary
 Responsible for getting the right products in the right quantities, to the right locations all at the right time.
 Responsible for all of the dispatching, routing, and tracking of delivery vehicles.
 Dispatching complex and oversized goods to national and international destination.
 Ensuring company compliance of all transport policies, legislation and procedures.
