Responsibilties:
- Serve as a liaison between departments to facilitate development of processes
- Assess the Business processes to identify and recommend improvements
- Provide training in the use of system and process models

I opted to go for cloud computing (Google Apps) considering the requirement and nature of the business which is engaged in the business of Pest Control Service and Pest control Products trading.
At present, the major part of the time is being utilised for developing an in-house ERP to replace the existing old business solution which does not cater to the needs of the organisation.
As IT Head, responsibility covers supervision of the whole department activities, increase the productivity and play an important role in managing the performance of staff. The duties comprise of:
○ Decision making;
○ Data Center & Infrastructure development;
○ Planning and organizing the infrastructure;
○ Setting policies for Backup/Disaster Recovery;
○ Succession planning;
○ Goal & standard setting;
○ Asset Management;
○ IT Budget preparation;
○ Guiding and giving directions;

○ Evaluating and analyzing;
○ IT staff selection;
○ Managing all IT staff;
○ Appointing the right person and assigning jobs;
○ Taking charge or assigning duties of any staff who is on leave;
○ Selecting right suppliers/service providers;
○ Selection of Healthcare IT Products/technologies;
○ Decide the most suitable configuration for requirements;
○ Represent the department as and when required;
○ Update about new practices;
○ Work closely with HIS Application Development for building smart monitoring rules;
○ Work closely with website developers and co-ordinate with marketing team;
○ Respond to business requirements and to implement enhancements;
Al Wataniya Concrete is a concrete manufacturing plant based in Qatar. The plant is completely computerized and manufacturing process is controlled and monitored by a Windows based Supervisory Control System. Internal mails are managed by Exchange Server. Also, company has a shared webpage (internal) and ISA server(integrated mode) for accessing/controlling the internet. Internet access is through NGRPM connection with a speed of 16 QAM provided by the state owned ISP.
As in-charge of IT Dept. I’ve installed and configured Windows 2003 SBS, ISA Server, MS Exchange and all other softwares. In addition to that, I’m managing the internal system network, server management, troubleshooting, ERP management and desktop support.
Role:
o Responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, administration, backups of Net Works, Business Application Software, Databases and Operating Systems.
o Trouble shooting
o Work on multiple systems concurrently in a production environment including supporting multiple users.
o Manage/Maintain Networks, standards, network OS.
o Determine priority of action based on severity of service disruptions and respond appropriately.
o Maintain accurate inventory of all hardware and software and perform preventative maintenance.
o Testing Business applications
o Software / ERP implementation and troubleshooting.
As a MIS/Systems Administrator, I was administering the internal system network, based on Windows 2000 Server (Recently upgraded to Windows 2003 server) with 25 users. IT team contains 2 members. Remote locations & showrooms are connected online.
Role:
o Administration of server and client systems;
o Administration of network;
o Maintaining System Security;
o Software & hardware support;
o Groups and User Account Creation & Management and Controlling User Access to Resources;
o Deciding systems hardware/software requirement and configuration as per demand and submission for approval;
o Maintenance & support of peripherals;
o Develop programs for internal applications;
PROJECTS COMPLETED:
○ A Payroll using Oracle which will cover trips of all trucks, Drivers Bata/incentives, Over Time for staff and monthly salary etc.
○ Developed & installed a complete automated program (Visual Basic 6) to receive data from a Nuclear Radiation Detecting Device. The program will receive data output from the device through Serial Port when trucks pass through and then activate alert if the truck contains material with nuclear radiation & the record will be added to the history database;
○ Designed and Developed a Management Information System Package using Visual Basic;
○ Developed a program for internal updated status information on the Qatar’s Industrial Projects using MS Access.
