Al Wataniya Concrete is a concrete manufacturing plant based in Qatar. The plant is completely computerized and manufacturing process is controlled and monitored by a Windows based Supervisory Control System. Internal mails are managed by Exchange Server. Also, company has a shared webpage (internal) and ISA server(integrated mode) for accessing/controlling the internet. Internet access is through NGRPM connection with a speed of 16 QAM provided by the state owned ISP.

As in-charge of IT Dept. I’ve installed and configured Windows 2003 SBS, ISA Server, MS Exchange and all other softwares. In addition to that, I’m managing the internal system network, server management, troubleshooting, ERP management and desktop support.

Role:
o Responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, administration, backups of Net Works, Business Application Software, Databases and Operating Systems.

○ A Payroll using Oracle which will cover trips of all trucks, Drivers Bata/incentives, Over Time for staff and monthly salary etc.
○ Developed & installed a complete automated program (Visual Basic 6) to receive data from a Nuclear Radiation Detecting Device. The program will receive data output from the device through Serial Port when trucks pass through and then activate alert if the truck contains material with nuclear radiation & the record will be added to the history database;
○ Designed and Developed a Management Information System Package using Visual Basic;
○ Developed a program for internal updated status information on the Qatar’s Industrial Projects using MS Access.
