• Ensures that the project safety plan reflects company policy and provides a
coordinated plan for the overall project which complies with the prevailing safety
requirements at each location.
• Represents the Safety Manager on construction job sites.
• Advises and assists the senior construction site representative in the
establishment and management of the job site safety program, identifying and
eliminating/controlling any hazards to persons and property.
• Carries out inspections of workplaces and takes appropriate action to ensure
compliance.
• Responds to and investigates concerns and complaint from workers/employers
and takes appropriate action.
• Investigates accidents and injuries that occur in workplace.
• Responsible for the establishment of, and monitors the performance of, workplace
safety health committee.
• Participation in the delivery of related training programs and disseminates
information to employees.
• Prepare various report, documents and forms.
• Receive and investigate reports of incidents, injuries and dangerous occurrence,
determine their cause and make recommendations for improving recurrence
prevention and control.
• Monitor all incidents are properly investigate by Line Manager and Supervisors
and that lesson learnt are shared across section/ departments.
• Maintain a system for recording, reporting and investigating injuries, incident and
dangerous occurrences and provide statistical summaries to management and
draw attention to significant trends and occurrences when necessary.
• Ensure fire arrangements are maintained in good order and fire drill are carried
out on all premises at regular intervals.
• Advice managers to ensure that their area has key staff appointed to carry out the
health and safety function e.g. first aider and fire wardens.
• Assist in and or develop and implement and implement the company’s health and
safety policies and related rules, regulations and work procedures.
• Ensuring the works is performed in accordance with the
specifications/procedures
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems, replace light bulbs and sockets, clean
and repair circuit breaker panels etc. Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration
and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
• carryout all duties that are necessary in resolving reactionary activities, and report
the need for further maintenance and safety to supervising staff
• Coordinating and controlling the activities of work crews and subcontractors
• Utilize, monitor & maintain project schedules, drawings, specifications, daily tasks.
• Ensure the proper use of all tools in the workshop for cutting, bending and welding
of equipment
• Carryout detailed evaluation of workshop equipment to ensure that they are in good
condition for proper functioning
• Ensure that procurement of equipment materials and services are carried out in
accordance with project technical and quality requirements.
