• Sourcing of Equipment’s & Materials for Projects, by P&SC procedure.
• Identification of Suppliers for Projects bid purposes
• Assisted Commercial Department during Tendering stage for pricing and sourcing suitable products as per the Client’s requirements and specifications
• Managing a fragmented supplier base through efficient organization and building strong supplier relationships
• Co-Ordinate Pre-Bid Meetings with supplier if required.
• Evaluate tenders & select supplier based on technical competency & competitive pricing
• Negotiate commercial issues, delivery matters as well as terms and conditions with suppliers.
• Interact with Suppliers to identify technical issues and liaise with engineering to resolve them.
• Initiate Terms and conditions in Preparation of purchasing orders
• Prepare the Commercial Bid Tabulation and Award Recommendation.
• Coordinating between the vendor and the projects department on expected date of delivery and the actual delivery so as to prevent any shortfalls
• Co-ordinate shipment of Goods between site, forwarder, and supplier.
• Use visibility and other available reports to identify expediting requirements.
• Plan and organize daily contact requirements and execute plans.
• Record schedules, progress, shipping and receiving information in visibility.
• Occasionally visit supplier's facilities to verify order status or to review corrective actions.
• Take positive steps when possible to improve vendor performances as demanded by schedule.
• Apply economic pressure on suppliers in conjunction with buyers as appropriate.
• Managing a fragmented supplier base through efficient organization and building strong supplier relationships
