Job Responsibility:
- Identifying and resolving issues and with government agencies, trade ministry, treasure ministry, customs and port agencies.
- To supervise Urgent and Critical Plant shuts down orders both air and sea, in addition containerized chemical bulk orders (including hazardous materials in close coordination customs brokers staff in order to clear cargo upon arrival to meet delivery dates.
- Deep knowledge of customs exemption procedures and documentation requirements for import cargo.
- Preparation of various reports to the top management.
- Sourcing and carry out logistics solutions, rate negotiation with shipping lines / freight forwarders and courier companies.
- Handling vessel independently, which includes freight negotiation, insurance, clearance and customs duty exemption.
- Appointing vessel handling local agents (which includes, all negotiations, vessel handling fees, agency fees).
- Supervising land shipments to the Middle East and resolving border customs disputes and troubles.
- Understand all the process and function of import and export including with the Saudi government’s regulation
- Monitors all changes to export laws, advises internal and other appropriate personnel, and incorporates them into practices and procedures as needed
- Provides company and/or government agencies required assistance or information needed during the review of license application
- Coordinates with appropriate program personnel to review provisions on licenses and agreements to ensure contract and customer requirements can be met by the license or agreement
- Maintains export related record keeping functions and files
- Provides information and reports to the Operation Manager
- Perform all job activities in concert with and support of Purchasing & Distribution Manager with very close communication
- Coordinate, supervise and evaluate all import activities of the subordinates
- Perform and supervise all import activities to ensure safe and smooth of purchasing works
- Perform any import matters by interacting with outside party concerned
- Establish and maintain constructive relationships with local governments and custom authorities to ensure safe and smooth of import activities
- coordinate clearance of freight documentation through the relevant customs authorities
- working with team to guide and advise on customs regulation qualifications.
- Process customs clearance documentation for our customer base.
- deal with the customs authority on a daily basis.
- Deliver an excellent customer service to all customers.
- Work on assigned key account customers to ensure their needs are met.
- Ensure Duty/VAT paid out is collected on delivery.
- Ensure any queries/refunds are followed up and resolved immediately
•Supervised import of chicken feed from USA.
•Developed and submitted shipping documents to the treasure ministry.
•Coordination with suppliers from Canada, once purchase order is being produced for the poultry feed.
•Chartering vessels as per the feed stipulations.
•Controlled and Managed Mega Star / Sony receivables.
•Constructed solutions for payment and resolving government issues to secure company’s best interests.
•Actively Participated in various marketing and brand launching campaigns
