Establishes and implements goals, objectives, policies and procedures related to Billing, Interconnect and Mediation, following is my responsibilities:
- Directs, manages and oversees the daily administration tasks and processes on Billing, Interconnect and Mediation.
- Designs, establish and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to accomplish the organization's goals and objectives in an effective manner; recruits, employs, trains, develops, supervises and evaluates unit staff.
- Develops and manages the annual budget for the division.
- Manage the delivery of clear and specific business requirements
Manage Billing (GSM and ISP) and Interconnect Systems implementation, configuration, customization and integration with other automated systems, such as POS/CRM and Oracle GL.
- Manage Mediation System implementation, configuration, customization and integration with the Core Network Elements.
- Ensure that the Bills are produced accurate and on time.
- Ensure the integrity of the Billing, Interconnect and Mediation systems.
- Work with the regulatory instance and the operators for Interconnect Billing.
- Provide solutions to Customer Service processes requirements.
- Provide solutions to Business (Marketing, Finance, and Sales) requirements related to Billing, Interconnect, and broadband, this includes out of the box solutions and innovative solutions.
- Evaluate and manage vendor relationship with Umniah, support agreements, product releases, upgrades, functionality enhancements, problem notification and resolution.
- Manages Billing department teams and work on enhancing their skills and capabilities.
- Manages work distribution, knowledge leveling and rotation.
Projects:
• Umniah 3G (Amman - Jordan) - Third generation network upgrade.
o Project Title: Billing Technical Lead
o Project Details and Challenges:
Our scope was to implement and support 3G third generation network for Umniah telecom operator, as well as complete the business cycle and support all new features requested by business honors.
Managing supporting implementation for 3G which includes billing, charging, invoicing, and mediation changes.
Main Challenge was have a very old billing system which also was out of vendor support; this was a huge challenge as it doesn’t support 3G billing and charging 3G on top services.
Manage to find solutions to support 3G services, billing, charging and invoicing without vendor support only using available resources.
• Umniah CBS( Amman - Jordan) - convergent billing.
o Project Title: Project Sponsor
o Project Details and Challenges:
A program with a scope to implement Huawei CBS Billing system and replace current IN and two billing system for retail and whole sale, as well as to replace interconnect and mediation system by the new CBS system.
Participate and lead the vendor selection process from the feasibility study through requirements gathering, and lead bidding exercise to choose winning vendor.
Manage contract creation also set contract terms and conditions.
Contribute in managing implementation for Huawei CBS system for a Rating, Roaming module, Number management, SIM Management, Mediation, Billing module, Oracle ERP integration, Credit control, and reporting portal.
To replace legacy systems and integrate with heterogeneous systems.
Give solution for problems and restrictions in the solution architecture and will as process re-engineering
1. Sales Responsibilities
Mainly sales is Operations responsibilities but as sales intersects with Delivery department i was as mediator between both departments to make sure both are working under agreed SLA’s and complete process / GAPs.
a. Finalize WBS received by delivery to add risk and man-days before handing over to sales for pricing.
b. Finalize WBS received by delivery to add project management effort and man-day before handing over to sales for pricing.
c. After finalizing WBS with PM efforts and Risks reserves, should prepare proposal summary for GM approval.
2. PMO and projects issues:
a. Convert WBS with support and coordination from Delivery Head into a final project plan that holds accurate dates and assigned resources after considering,
b. Apply project management methodology to implement approved plan, with all Follow up project related tasks, milestones, deliverable, resources and customer management
c. project status reporting (progress and costing), KPI monthly during first week of the month, project status reports to include:
i. Monthly spend man-days on each project
ii. Monthly projected cost as per timesheets and man-days spent
iii. Monthly progress review report and percentage of completion Vs. Estimated completion (Baseline)
iv. Project Status (RED, AMBER and GREEN) indicator
d. Allocated resource detailed timesheet, utilization and trend graphs
3. Operations roles:
a. Maintain business continuity including managing infrastructure essential for business (e.g. exchange, active directory, share point (business shared area).
b. Supporting PMO and help in mitigating risks and solve issues.
c. Revise resources costs in half yearly bases.
d. Maintain Operations KPIs:
i. Utilization rate KPI, which will be delivered monthly.
ii. Time sheet Summary and KPI, which will be delivered monthly.
e. Profitable projects: to have constant visibility on our projects (successful and profitable) rates.
i. it’s defined as number of profitable project over total number of projects, sure we should target 100 %
ii. this KPI will be calculated on yearly bases

A program with a scope to implement TABS billing system with all modules, TABS CRM, convergent billing for Postpaid, and prepaid Customer to be managed by billing system, NRTRDE, AVAYA integration, Ericsson EMA integration, IVR integration.
Managing implementation for TABS Rating, Roaming module, NRTRDTE, Number management, SIM Management, TABS Mediation ( also integrated with Ericsson online charging system), order management, Provisioning, Billing module, Provisioning, Billing module, Oracle ERP integration, Credit control, and reporting portal.
First time convergent billing for post paid subscribers to be billed online with integration Ericsson online billing.
To replace legacy systems and integrate with heterogeneous systems.
Implementation for the largest operator in Africa 25 million subscribers.
Nigerian visa takes plenty of time to be issued, might take a month.
A very challenging environment, especial country security and countries regulations in Nigeria
