Solution architect and project manager for InfoSmart project Implementation within STC (Saudi Telecom).
Main Responsibilities:
- Full Business Intelligence/analytics project management: Defines project scope, charter, goals and deliverables in support of business requirements and works with senior leadership and stakeholders for approvals.
- Working with clients to define issues and information needs and translating them into specific data requirements to support business initiatives and projects.
- Plan, execute, and effectively communicate the results of modelling initiatives (segmentation, predictive analytics).
- Identify new opportunities for applying statistical modeling to enhance Client marketing initiatives.
- Serves as SME in multiple aspects of analytics offering and mentors others.
- Drive all analytics testing and implementation standards/governance, maintaining consistency STC business.
- Data Integration (ETL) solution design/Technical design and Implementation.
- Builds, rolls out and enhances a standardized Datamarts and dashboard that enables key stakeholders to take appropriate action
- Continuous user support, driving UAT and business user training.
- Ensure adherence to data management regulations and policies.
- Participates in or leads information capabilities development work.
PM and Solution Architect for Corporate dashboard : Project management and ETL solution design for the Implementation of the corporate dashboard:
- Full project and vendor management.
- Dashboard ETL’s implementation from different sources (Datamarts, Flat files, …) using Informatica.
- ETL Processes automation and monitoring.
- Informatica Administration (Performance Optimization, Upgrade, ..)
Cognos Planning and Cognos BI : Full BPM (business performance management) project cycle:
- Capturing the high-level and the detailed business requirements and translating these requirements into detailed technical specification documents.
- Understanding the existing planning system implementation and taking handover from the previous team.
- Development of Cognos planning budgeting and forecasting cubes.
- Developing a consolidation models based on a detailed requirements collected from the users.
- Full Enterprise planning and reporting administration: Users; rights; support and system Monitoring.
- Design and development of ETL extraction processes using Cognos Data Manager; from various sources (Cognos planning, Oracle, flat files, …. ).
- Automation of the Data Extraction processes.
- Building Cognos Framework manager models to support the financial reporting requirements
- Financial reporting providing a full insight to the business users on the company performance using cognos BI Tools (BI reports, Dashboards and Scorecards).
- Successful upgrade of Cognos tools to version 10
- Design and implementation of Qtel international Data Warehouse, which is dedicated more to the financial use (All the financial data and KIP’s of Qtel operations and Qtel international).
- System source: Cognos Enterprise Planning (Financial system, and Qtel operations systems).
- ETL (Extraction tool): IBM DataStage (To extract data from financial system and Qtel operations system).
- Reporting Tool: Cognos Business intelligence.
- High Support and full participation in the financial project: Business Performance Management (BPM) project.
- Developing Wataniya Scorecards using Cognos scorecards module.
- Providing user friendly analysis (Ad hoc analysis) using Olap technology (Cognos powerplay).
- Actual Data extraction from the operations ERP systems to Cognos planning.
- Participation in Qtel operations Data Warehouses projects (Full projects development and support).
- Maintain and update QTel Operation accounts mapping to Cognos planning Accounts.
Implementing of Nedjma Data Warehouse: Full reporting and dashboard project for Nedjma telecom
- Collecting all departments Users requirements related to the reporting.
- Design of a multidimensional Data warehouse model for Customer; usage; POS (point of sales) and prepaid activities.
- Implementation of a set of reports to cover all the departments’ requirements.
- High level reporting for the top management.
- Building a ‘ready to use’ business objects models for the Ad hoc reports.
- Full administration for the data warehouse system.
- Building ETL extraction process using the company systems as sources.
- Developing Nedjma Dashboard using Business Object Dashboard module: Height level of reporting and indicators for the Top management use.
- Conduct users training sessions.
- Technical and functional documentation and Knowledge transfer.
- System sources: Billing system (BCSC); Intelligence Network (IN); different flat files; POS.
- ETL (Extraction tool): business objects data integrator.
- Reporting tool: Business objects.
- Participation in the implementation of Orascom telecom Algeria Data Warehouse: developing the Subscriber data mart which covers to all the prepaid events and activities reporting requirements.
