Job Title: HSE Engineer

Job Summary:

As a HSE Engineer, I will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of employees, contractors, and the general public. It will involve developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE policies, procedures, and programs to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, KEPA standards, OSHA regulations and KOC procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

HSE Management

1. Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
2. Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards.
3. Develop and implement controls to mitigate identified hazards.
4. Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics.

Compliance and Regulatory Affairs

1. Ensure compliance with relevant HSE regulations, laws, and industry standards.
2. Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies.

Training and Awareness

1. Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees and contractors.
2. Conduct HSE awareness campaigns.
3. Ensure that all employees and contractors are aware of their HSE responsibilities.

Incident Investigation and Reporting

1. Investigate HSE incidents and near-misses.
2. Develop and implement corrective actions.
3. Report on HSE incidents and near-misses.

Environmental Management

1. Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures.
2. Conduct environmental audits and inspections.
3. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Education and Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. Diploma in mechanical Engineering
2. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, DISH, OHSAS, ISO etc...

Experience

1. Minimum 5-6 years of experience in HSE management.
2. Experience in the oil and gas, construction, metro rail projects, Ware house and manufacturing industries.
