Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:
Client: Vodacom (Billing Fraud and Risk Management)
Role: Senior Business Analyst and Product Owner

Description: Product owner of and business analyst for an application used by law enforcement to generate cases based on mobile network information

- Identify, recommend and evaluate potential improvements and optimizations to application, and user, features,
processes and workflows.
- Generate actionable insights based on results from data models developed in cooperation with solutions
architects to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Identify risks & issues and develop automated alerts and mitigation plans.
- Develop BI dashboards to analyze data and monitor KPIs in (near) real-time.
- Schedule and conduct regular meetings with primary and secondary users to gather feedback regarding new
and/or existing requirements/features/processes.
- Utilize management solutions such as Jira, et al, to manage project progress, timelines, workflows and efort.
- Liaise with developers, QAs and users to analyze, troubleshoot and document bugs, workarounds and fixes.
- Implement new, or improve existing, automated, scheduled and ad-hoc audits and audit reports to ensure
compliance with both company and regulatory policies.
- Develop onboarding and training documentation, presentations and videos for both primary and secondary
application users as well as testers/QAs.
- Assist first line support with analyzing of technical issues and facilitate any escalations to the development
team(s).
- Verify pre-deployment and conduct post-deployment tests to ensure issues are addressed before users become
aware of them.
- Conduct regular knowledge shares in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure system, process and
solution awareness and insights are shared.

Business Process re-engineering
Cherwell - (Maitland Integration with Bloomberg) MIB Harness integration analysis, planning, configuration and testing.

Development, testing of improvements to manual/backup processes in case of system unavailability or instability.
Documenting user, business and SAP integration requirements and liaising with the system vendor and SAP PI representatives to facilitate timely development and implementation.
Developing company presentation and excel templates on, for and on behalf of the business unit.
Development and integration of backup stock taking documentation and procedures across the Shoprite Checkers Group.

Maintenance and implementation of upgrades to the portfolio management and trading systems.
Liaising between the system vendor and the portfolio managers and traders, who use the system, to facilitate the development and implementation of required improvements and upgrades.
Impact and risk analysis.
Trading system support.
Automation of daily administrative procedures using tools such as VB, C#, Excel, Access and SQL (stored procedures and data functions).
Development, management, testing, implementation and full documentation of process engineering and re-engineering projects.
