Control and allocate the flow of work through the workshop to make the best use of staff, equipment and other resources.
•Ensure all equipment is maintained and cleaned on a regular basis and there are sufficient resources to meet business requirements.
•Ensure machine down-time is kept to a minimum and take appropriate, corrective action where required including carrying out mechanical repairs when required.
•Ensure all equipment and machinery is serviced in compliance with departmental service standards.
•Ensure pro-active planned maintenance is carried out to prevent undue problems occurring and enhance the service life of machines.
•Ensure that any failures are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
•Ensure that the workshop housekeeping and operating practices are of a high standard and that special tools and equipment is well maintained.
•Maintain a full documented history of service and repairs carried out to help investigate and relate problems occuring in the future.,
•Interact with clients and understand their requirements and offer solutions.
•Create and maintain a positive vibe inside the premises to offer a better experience to the clients and build business relations.
•Interact and provide regular updates to the client, to give them a sense of satisfaction.
•Act as a technical expert in the Workshop, advising staff on tasks and sharing knowledge, for example through regular toolbox talks
Material receiving, inspection, identification and traceability, preservation and protection
•Inspecting materials and equipment on receipt and preparing receiving inspection reports.
•Inspection of flanges, valves, gasket, tee, reducers and various other fittings and accessories in compliance with specifications and standards.
•Bolt tightening of flange.
•Checking Valves & Equipment according to drawing.
•To inspect joint fit-up of each joint and making fit-up inspection reports.
•Visual inspection on the welding.
•Carry out the dimensional inspection.
•Preparation of all inspection reports from material identification up to Hydro test.
•Coordination with third party inspection persons during their witnessing.
•Attending weekly and monthly meetings and QA/QC feedback to the management
•Responsible for rectifying the Q.C punch lists.
•Interface with various contractors and client.
•Build-up of safety attitude among technicians & helpers.
•Prepare daily progress report.

The company is a leader in pipe manufacturing in the gulf region and the only facility in Kuwait, manufacturing helical seam submerged arc welded (SAWH) pipes for oil and gas projects in the region in accordance with API and ASTM standards. The company supplies bare pipes or coated pipes depending upon the clients requirements and conditions of service with an annual capacity of 60, 000 metric tons, with pipe diameter ranging from 6” to 120”.
Job Responsibilties:-
•Inspection and testing of incoming welding and construction materials to ensure they
meet project specification requirements.
•Periodic inspection of material, equipment and consumables to check for proper
storage and shelf life.
•Ensuring proper qualification of the pWPS by witnessing the destructive tests and
commence the production line.
•Setting up the machine according to the machine forming parameters.
•Inspecting the machine parameters and welding variables and ensure conformance
with the WPS.
•Supervising the production in-line with the project guidelines and schedules.
•Inspection of the welding and weld profile visually and by means of macros to ensure confirmance to applicable standards and client specifications.
•Review of radiographic films (X-rays) to locate and analyse defects according to pre-
defined parameters and acceptance standards.
•Maintaining a record of the nature and frequency of occurrence of the defects and taking remedial measures to rectify them.
•Guide the personnel to enhance reduction of scrap and resources.
•Ensure that the overall work is being carried out in conjunction with the procedure and
