¬ Perform high quality dental nursing while assisting the dentist/s appointed with, in a safe and effective manner.
¬ Ensure that the surgical areas and equipment are regularly cleaned and maintained, including aspiration systems and autoclaves, paying all due attention to relevant legal and ethical codes, in addition to the practice policy in respect of cross infection control and Health & Safety.
¬ Keep accurate records and ensure the recording methods are used in line with agreed practice policy, current medico-legal guidelines and recommendations from official bodies.
¬ Set-up and prepare the instruments for the type of patient and treatment planned before the start of each session.
¬ Obtaining baseline Vital Signs and Blood Sugar Test prior to Surgery or Dental Procedure.
¬ Ensure safe disposal of sharps and clinical waste.
¬ Carry out stock control and maintaining dental Laboratory records.
¬ Carry out Billing reports of Laboratory and Suppliers on a monthly basis.
¬ Offer support and reassurance to patients.
¬ Operates and maintains clinic’s software and files.
¬ Provides Computer related support depending on the clinic’s requirement.
¬ Ensure Infection control guidelines are met in accordance to DHA and Dubai municipality specially water line and sterilization area.
¬ Provided Guidelines, Checklist and Policies for the clinic.
¬ Assisting in insurance processing as per patient requirement.
¬ Creates Dental Appliance as per patient requirement.
¬ Ensuring that the clinic’s requirements are met in accordance to DHA, Dubai Municipality and FANR.
¬ Answering patient inquiry via phone, social media, SMS, website or email.
Assessment of patients' vital signs and irregularities in his/her condition.
Administer due medications (IV, Oral, Rectal, IM, Intradermal, Nasal, Opthalmic, Subcutaneous, Sublingual, Vaginal) as ordered.
Documenting patient's condition and updating the Physician on duty.
Assisting patients for body tests and examinations.
Operating the ECG machine for patients who are on cardiac status monitoring.
Physical and Psychological support for the patient as well as for his/her families and friends.
Work as part of a team with physicians, other nurses and healthcare professionals to provide care, monitor health conditions, plan long-term care needs, administer medicine, use medical equipment, perform minor medical operations, and advice patients and their families on illness, care and continued care after a hospital stay.
Give first aid treatments and proper medications to employees as needed.
Observe and record the symptoms and condition of a patient/ employee.
In case of any accident, accompany the injured employee to the nearest hospital.
Maintain medical and other related records of all employees.
Examine and make sure that the sick employees submit fit certificate.
Organize regular medical examinations of all employees.
Enroll candidates for Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) and Group life insurance on a regular timely basis, mostly once in one or two months.
Monitor absence patterns especially AWOL and visit employee home if needed.
Monitor the stock inventory of medicines and other necessary supplies from time to time.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities that maybe assigned by the management.
Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other health centered activities.
