1. Currently working in UAE university Electrophysiology labs concentrating on mapping electrical signals responsible for motility of smooth muscles in animals.
2. Work involves mapping electrical signals causing motility in smooth muscles eg: peristaltic motion in intestine and their quantitative analysis.
3. Also, studying motility patterns in smooth muscles such as intestine, bladder etc in rats and mice.
4. Assisting in developing the signal mapping software used further using MATLAB signal processing tools.
Worked on a project which is a part of current research in semiconductor device field. The aim of the project was to develop an improved Carbon material based Tunnel FET design which could be a potential candidate for future nanoelectronic technology. Tunnel FETs have been under active investigation due to ideal properties such as energy efficiency and lower standby power dissipation. Since downscaling trend in device size has been progressing, the device is simulated for a channel length of 7 nm in my work. Research is carried out using NEGF Formalism to model quantum behaviour. The main details are listed:
1. Simulation modeling of quantum behavior in nano-scale devices (nanometric scale dimension) using software NAOTCAD ViDES.
2. Worked using python programming with supercomputing facility using Linux based OS.
3. Simulation of a carbon-nanotube materials based TFET device and testing its functionality for short channel lengths.
4. Benchmarking against the performance parameters (device delay, ON currents, leakage currents, switching power) targeted as per International Technology roadmap for Semiconductors for the year 2026.
5. Implementation of structural and doping concentration modifications for enhancing performance parameters.
6. Study of effect of adding dielectric materials around drain terminal and the improvement in OFF state leakage.
7. Developed, tested and proposed a new Field Effect Transistors design with improved performance, which could be a potential candidate for future CMOS applications.
8. Documentation of analysis and results and poster presentation.
Provided assistance in the form of role plays and conducting interactive sessions with medical students at the UAE University in order to help them enhance their communication skills and interactive abilities.
Helped students improve their medical history taking and patient interaction skills by providing feedback on their mock history taking practice sessions.
Attended training in practical examinations and also attended training workshops at the Clinical Skills Simulation and Training Centre, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Acquired training in electrical safety and quality testing of hospital equipment at Biomedical Dept. of Al Reem Hospico Company (Alain).
Learnt about the general functioning and troubleshooting of common biomedical equipment used in hospitals and clinics specifically, X-ray machine, ECG, defibrillator, diagnostic set etc.
Familiar with the electrical safety and general quality testing of emergency equipment like ECG and defibrillator.
Familiar with the using of RIGEL safety analyser and FLUKE ECG and defibrillator analyser instruments for maintenance.
Also trained on lab equipment like centrifuge and their maintenance.
Familiar with the use of ASSET Plus software system.
Also worked on the documentation procedures required by the ministry for repair and maintenance of equipment in clinics.
1. Was placed in the Automated Cement Plant division of Nael and familiarized with working of the automated machine control system using PLCs and the different process flow involved in the cement production and also its by-products.
2. Trained on the laboratory tests and procedures for testing quality of cement produced.
3. Also, familiarized with other areas such as Site Electrical installation, precast processing, steel structures, joinery and interiors etc.
4. Experience in ISO 9001 and 18001 auditing procedures.
The Training Programme involved understanding about the MEP related works in the construction industry and working in the Techno-Commercial Departments of the company in construction projects like The Alain Mall expansion and Alain Mall Resort. The responsibilities included the following:
Checking the cable layout designed by the company by calculating the voltage drop and comparing it against the maximum permissible standard provided by DUCAB.
Preparation of the Bill of Materials and Quantity Surveying for Fire Alarm Systems, Mechanical Equipment Devices, Lighting System and various other electrical systems of the projects handled by the Tendering & Estimation Department.
Preparation of the Comparative Statements, Letter of Indents and the Local Purchase Orders of the Building Management Systems of the projects handled by the Planning & Procurement Department.
Submission of technical report on the site related MEP works, electrical power distribution and chiller systems installed in Alain Mall Resort Project.
