- Making calls to large Multinational Companies across the GCC to see if they have Recruitment needs
- Talking to senior level HR executives across the GCC to create potential business pipelines that leads to deal closure
- Making over 100 calls/follow-up calls per day having a minimum of 50 connected calls
- Compiling a list of companies for each industry sector search
- Sending follow up emails to previously contacted companies
- Provide regular feedback to senior manager about marketplace and competitor activity
- Develop effective working relationships with customers through regular calls, identify and obtain further sales and business development opportunities
- Identify requirements for new recruitment within organizations across different industry sectors
- Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mails, sms)
- Create and update records and databases with client specifications, summary and other data through Microsoft Google Docs
Indestructible Paints ltd is a multinational company that provides coatings to industries including marine, aviation and defense.
I worked with the University of Birmingham professors and Indestructible paints ltd to form a chromium free substitute coating to be used in aviation industry ( as chromium will be banned from 2017 onwards).
The new coating surpassed all tests and performed better than the competitors.
The research included 6 months of literature review and six month experimental work.
This was done as part of my final year thesis results of which were published at the University of Birmingham Chemical Engineering Department.
Interned 12 months as part of the Industrial placement at Procter and Gamble’s(P&G) largest R&D site in Europe, in the SUD Laundry Dept:
• Developed methods to test and characterize polymer films used in laundry detergent manufacture.
• Conducted thorough research on product quality improvements and presented those findings to senior management.
• Published SLR’s (smart learning reports), SOPs (standard operating procedures) and 25 Page Industrial report.
• Trained P&G researchers and scientists on the new methods that I developed.
Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham offered me a modular programme of study which leads to the award of a Masters of Engineering (MEng) in four years. The MEng degree is an 'extended' course which enabled me to have demonstrated ability and to pursue advanced topics widening my chemical engineering knowledge. Industrial relevance is of prime importance to Chemical Engineers and therefore this course (MEng programme) provided me with the opportunity to spend a year in industry at Procter and Gamble, Belgium,. This experience, together with skills in numeracy, problem solving, team work, communication and information technology, have equipped me for successful careers within any industry. Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham has been ranked third in the UK – behind Cambridge and Imperial College in the Guardian's 2016 university league table. For the last 4 years University of Birmingham has maintained its top three position.
