•Good understanding of MySQL, MongoDB and Couhbase Database Administration.
•Experience with MySQL, Mongo and Couhbase heavy backups and restore strategies.
•Installation of MySQL (RPM, YUM and Binary), MongoDB (RPM) and Couhbase (RPM) followed by upgradation for the same.
•Monitor and manage database replications for MySQL (Master-Slave, Master-Slave-Slave), MongoDB (P-S-S, P-S-S-S-S-S) and Couchbase (Replication and XDCR)
•Run database consistency checks, Monitor and manage database server performance, availability, capacity and error logs.
•Identify, troubleshoot and resolve real-time database issues.
•Upgrading and applying latest stable patches for performance boosting and usage of new features and updates.
•Working closely with US based clients and development team for requirement gathering and active member in discussions and decision makings.
•Worked on benchmarking the instance class with supportive load test with DevOps engineers.
•Closely monitoring databases which can be downscaled/up scaled for best resource and cost optimizations respectively.

Roles and Responsibilities:
•Daily server checks: Monitoring Slow logs to maintain application Performance. Check host and MySQL statuses on each server.
•MySQL/Mongo Installation: Do RPM and/or Binary MySQL/ Percona / MongoDB installation on Linux systems.
•Backups and restoration: Using mysqldump/Mongodump or Percona's Xtrabackup utilities to take hot backups or normal cold backup procedure in maintenance window period.
•Table optimization: Optimization of tables to defragment them either by (ALTER TABLE ENGINE=) or Percona's latest pt-online-schema-change utility.
•MongoDB Research: Was doing a POC for mongo 3.4 versions to upgrade from existing 2.6 release and did successful upgradation.
•Server optimization: Server optimization at config. (my.cnf/mongod.cong) level.
•Query optimization: Query tuning as per client's demand or according to the slow query logs and system.profile post enabling profile on timely basis.
•Replication: Hands on MySQL replications (Master-Slave, Master-Slave-Slave) and 3 node cluster replication for Mongo
